It was a bad throw. Watching it live it looked to me like the ball was tipped. When I looked again it wasn’t tipped but the rotation and flight of the ball changed a couple yards past the line of scrimmage.

Josh Hill made no fight for the ball and Debo looked like he was strapped to a rocket.

It happens

First of all, credit to Jones. He made an exceptional play when the game was on the line.

That said, if Jimmy was still here, at the very least, he hogties him and takes the OPI and we still have a chance to at least tie.

It was a stupid call just the same. Run the ball because if you don't score, you force the Falcons to use their last TO and you minimize their chances of coming back to win in regulation.

As someone else mentioned, Drew will be sick when he sees that last play on film. Ingram was all alone and if Drew gets him the ball, easy TD.

I'm not mad that Josh hill didn't catch the ball, I'm not mad that he didn't break up the interception, but I'm kinda mad that he never attempted to put his body in an advantageous position to attempt either.

That int probably happens no matter what Josh hill does after the ball leaves drew's hands but he shat the bed aswell on that play.

First, I thought a run should've been the call to take off more time (and preserve a FG attempt at the very least ).

But more importantly, you see Ingram squirt out for a potential dump-off with a ton of green in front of him as multiple Falcons were away in the endzone.

The Saints could have had a first down around the 2 yard line, ran off more clock, and still have time to punch it in or tie the game.

But Brees got greedy.

If it was Jimmy it would've been a touchdown.. I miss Jimmy.

Drew made that read pre-snap and ignored a lot of what happened. As much as people want to hate on Payton for the Call, Ingram was wide open coming out of the backfield by Brees made his decision from the get go and without hesitation forced the throw and didn’t even think about it.

We love Brees, but his decision making at times is in now way elite at times. That is what separates him from he all time greats like Brady, Montana, etc.

The thing im most upset about is josh fricking hill being in that situation

End of discussion. If it's even to Michael Thomas, fine. But Hill has shown nothing the entire year in clutch situations and didn't even fight back to the ball.

BINGO.

The only reason he threw that ball was that he convinced himself that's where he was going before the ball was even in his hands.

Debo makes a play 4 feet in the air and Josh fricking hill is still foot on the ground expecting the ball to just get to him.

Why did we leave the game in his hands? Run the fricking ball.

Drew's interception

All QBs make dumb throws. Matt did it earlier and the Julio was not even close to open.

Brady makes dumb throws and so does Rodgers. Brees just did it at an inopportune moment.

Our Defensive penalties and Offense not taking advantage of turnovers cost us this team against an inferior opponent.

Has anyone ever seen Drew make a boneheaded bumbass throw like that?

yep, all the time. almost every game he does something like that but most often he redeems himself with a score to overcome it so its quickly forgotten about. lately, the last few years, he isnt getting another chance to redeem himself because the defense isnt getting him the ball back
