How can anyone definitively say this when he's a developing player in the developmental process?

It's unreal the amount of hate he gets when you factor in the crap around him. Also for all the dumb asses that say he's the checkdown king, has anyone ever thought that could be the game plan since all of our other deficiencies on this team? Working the clock, minimizing possessions and hoping to keep it a 4th Q game. Trying to get in track meets with any team with our current roster would be retarded. I guess taking care of the football is not good to these morons on here.
Eh, that seems like a really shitty gameplan. Especially when Kamara and the run game were actually pretty efficient this week. I wonder how that was even possible after looking at Rattlers passing chart this week. He was 6 of 12 on throw past 8 yards. Thats terrible. 7 of his completions were behind the LOS, and 12 within 8 yards. Checkdown king. And his downfield accuracy is just plain bad. So at face value, his stats werent "bad", but the passing chart tells a better story. Week 1 wasnt much better with only 7 completions past 8 yards. He was 6 of 18 past 8 yards. Expect the box to be loaded the next 2 weeks against good defenses. They know Spencer cant beat them past the sticks.

Because that hasn't been your stance since preseason started.

I've watched every pass be made at South Carolina and trust me he can throw a deep ball but it's the NFL dude. Longer completions are harder to make, of course your completion percentage will be shite compared to passes less than 10 yards. Now factor in the shitty OL pass blocking. Nobody has even talked about the plays he's extended with his legs. Even the biggest Shough fan boys can't possibly think Shough would do the same.

If Kellen Moore seems to be happy with QB play up to this point, that's good enough for me. Not any Saints Rant dumbasses watching from the sidelines (not you specifically I'm responding to)

It’s weird to hate a QB on your own team, especially given the landscape of our roster. You can see the Ratt king is forcing them to start at least giving backhanded compliments

It's cause most of them didn't give rattler a chance.

They judged him off a horrible staff and team last yr and refuse to adjust their opinions.

I don’t think he is the long term answer at quarterback but he has done a commendable job.

He’s 0-8 as a starter. He’s not good

Mac Jones threw for 280 plus yards and 3 TDs. That’s not on Rattler

So he’d be no worse?

Except we’d could have an additional first round talent playing to help Rattler win instead of holding a clipboard.

Rattlers is currently the15th rated qb on espn total qbr ratings.

Not bad considering almost everyone thought he was 32 of 32. He can play, he’s definitely better than other qbs that have come through here. But he will still have to improve. Need to see more deep balls and slightly more accurate ball placement on short throws.

I'm assuming you want Shough to start against the Giants? Rattler is playing against playoff teams. You people have extremely high expectations for a young QB. Rattler isn't sitting vs the Giants. He'll get at least 8 games unless he stinks it up which he isn't yet.

I don't know. Someone nailed it last week when they said besides being away it was the worst of matchups. Their dline vs our oline. Hopefully the STs can't play worse.

Yea and he was the highest rated offensive player the last 2 weeks. Let's forget about that. You have an agenda. Admit it.

Look Shough will get playing time this year. It doesn't mean we have a Brees sitting the bench.
