How about - kick out the resellers whose mailing address is over 500 miles away and haven't even been to new orleans in 10 years?

Just got a call..my seats are “pending” to get the chop. I’m in section 319 row 11...I have no clue what they doing in that section. The Saints rep had no info either. Seems strange. I didn’t see anywhere where that section would be affected for renovations.

The entire section of 620 is not gone FWIW

My row 7 seats are gone, my row 27 seats are not

Saints ticket office feeling the heat

Just trust them guys there’s no way they’ll screw your over....

The renovations to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome are expected to result in the loss of approximately 4,300 seats for this upcoming season, and the New Orleans Saints are currently reaching out to season ticket holders to find a solution for those whose seats will no longer exist. Some Saints season-ticket holders — some of whom claim to have been season-ticket holders for decades — have turned to social media vent about the impending loss of their seats. Greg Bensel, the senior vice president of communications for the Saints and the Pelicans, asked for patience to allow the full process to unfold for the affected fans to reach an appropriate resolution

quote:

“We’re working with them, we’re talking to them, we’re communicating to them,” Bensel said. “Constant communication. It’s an intimate, personal conversation. These are passionate fans who are upset. “The process may not be perfect for them. It may not sit well with them. It may be upsetting for them. But at the end of the day, we’re going to make it right for them. We just have to figure it out, it is a work in progress.”

I received one 5 minute call from a dude that was reading off a script and you could tell in his voice that he had been getting his arse chewed out all day and was miserable. I did not take my frustration out on him as I know he had nothing to do with the decision but they haven’t been in constant communication and the only answer they have is they will evaluate it after renewals and get back to you.

They knew this was coming up. They should have done this shite last year when they booted the ticket brokers and offered thousands of their tickets to season ticket holders. It literally would have worked out perfect to have a bunch of available seats

AMEN ! Seems like the Saints did NOT go into this with a well thought out plan...more like NO "plan" at all. Only question is...WHO did not do their due diligence ??

Upselling me for tickets twice the price isn't really doing right by me.

I’ve got a pair in 633. Only been a STH for 4 years but I haven’t received a single call, email, etc from the saints. Found out about this whole conundrum today on this board

When I called the ticket office Tuesday, the guy I spoke to said he wasn’t sure which areas and rows were being removed, but that I would get a call by Friday if my seats were being affected. I didn’t hear anything yet, so I’m hoping his info was accurate. Section 607 row 16.

When I first called after seeing this thread, before they called me, the guy I talked to didn't know what sections either. Makes no sense why every person who's answering calls for the Saints wasn't given a list of the affected sections.

The Saints have had the luxury of not having to give a shite about customer satisfaction and positive customer engagement for the past 15 years.

The lack of transparency in how they distributed tickets to the single games this past football season to season ticket holders that “opted-in” and then dumping the return Bears tickets on Seat Geek illustrated this.

It was also completely dysfunctional of them to offer us tickets for single games this year and not tell us pricing of those seats up front and then taking it out of our prepaid credit after for an arbitrary number that was not 10% of what we originally paid.

“Not knowing what sections” and lack of transparency around it is abysmal service + patently false and I hope the local media has the courage to keep pressing on them.

Clearly, construction designs and permits had to illustrate the future plans to be approved and reconfigure the state’s building. They just wanted the interest free loan for the 5,000 seats in the interim.

At this point, they need to be completely transparent. We have X season ticket holders that occupy Y number of seats. Exactly Z number of seats are being impacted short term and long term.

I didn’t even think of the pricing for the folks that didn’t opt out. I did opt out of my two seats in 628. If I wouldn’t have and gotten seats for one of the games I could have used the entire price of a season ticket on one game.

Damn we are on the same row. I moved to 607 the year of Katrina. The Gleason game was my first one in those seats. I haven’t received a call, so hopefully we are safe.

update: they do not think as many people will be affected as previously thought. they have reloacted most of the plaza level and are finalizing a plan for the rest of us.

The superdome has always had a standing section. Above 613. A lot of people stand there every game. My first year in 620 I just stood behind 613 because I knew people that would meet up there.
