Did Sunday silence the anti Michael Thomas BS that's plagued this board?

Not even talking about his stat line. But there's no question in my mind that this man is bought in, all about this team, and wants to win.
Enough with the "MT is robbing Gayle and this franchise" nonsense.

It was great to see him on the sidelines pumping up the team. He's clearly bought in.
A motivated MT makes our offense dangerous.

in a hypothetical world just for arguments sake, is it possible that he is something now that he wasn't something 12 months ago?

Is it possible? Yes
Is that likely? Not at all

That first TD catch made me audibly squeal. Just snatched it.

Ok, so a definitive argument about MT bc he showed passion on sunday doesn't overly mean as much as what OP makes it out to be?

There's been this dumb narrative surrounding him since he signed that contract and with this narrative that he had checked out. Forgetting that he set the NFL catch record AFTER he signed it and I believe it was established that his injury was no joke.

He made several statements in the media that rightly pissed people off but he seems bought in now. It isn’t an either or issue. He’s good now so people will support him if he continues acting how he has lately

For the first 3 quarters he was clearly frustrated with he and Winston not on the same page...then things started to click and you were reminded how good he can be. Throw in Landry and Olave, and I don't think it is hyperbole to say this could be the best Saints receiving corps...maybe ever. Winston made some good throws in the 4th, but many of those catches were tough. A lesser group doesn't make them.

His two TDs were awesome. Made AJ Terrell look like a scrub

Yep, love plays like that. Just straight muscle and effort.

We won bc Jameis come out of the tent and told everyone to get out of his face with playbooks and coverages, and MT pumping up the team.
It was great to watch it unfold through the cameras. Great work by Fox to capture it all.

you've disproved nothing for the record.

Everytime thomas has played for the saints he has showed passion.
That is a false narrative that people on this board made out of thin air.

There was a period of time where Saints organization was throwing mt under the bus and mt was sending out cryptic messages for a long time. Throw in a fight with a teammate (who was suddenly and horribly traded before season started) a suspension from team and a subtle issue with Drew Brees at a moment... there were issues going on. MT's on field passion sunday does not erase the past.

A new HC that brings in a positive team atmosphere
And a new QB that can get him the ball further than five yards downfield
Can make a huge difference in the attitude of a superstar WR.

He made those on this board who wanted him traded look like idiots

Legit the dumbest poster on this board.
MT13 missed so much time because he tried to play through an injury for Brees final season.

I was the biggest MT fan there was. And this Sunday, I remembered why I liked him so much. It wasn’t even about him scoring TD’s as much as his overall fire and presence.
You have to admit the last 2 years were a bit worrisome and scary. When all we have are injury setbacks and weird episodes on Twitter for 2 years, it’s understandable that people were worried about him.
Most of us love Mike the player. Mike the person, who doesn’t play, is a bit more difficult to get behind, especially when he was bashing Drew and not making timely decisions with his recovery.
Glad he appears to be healthy again. I’m sure the majority of the fanbase will fall back in love with him. He’s hard not to really like when he is out on the field and snatching the souls of top DB’snin the NFL.
Still one of my favorite moments as a Saints fan to this day is when Michael Thomas made Xavier Rhodes cry in the playoffs bc he could not guard him.
Of Course Marcus Williams, ruined that game, but it doesn’t change that Michael Thomas was a straight up menace that basically ended Xavier Rhodes career, when he was universally thought to be at the peak of his powers.
2nd year Michael Thomas dominated that bitch, made him cry, and he’s never been worth a frick since that game.
