Should have been Kubiak.
Kubiak can't even manage his offense. He doesn't need nor deserve these extra responsibilities

First order of business, go and cut the punter immediately. Dude averaged 38 yards a punt yesterday, and I believe they called the fake punt because they thought the guy could run it further than he could kick it. There are better punters on surrounding high schools teams in NOLA.

Because this organization can't do anything right. I'd give it about 60% chance he's promoted at years end without conducting a real search
I wouldn't like it either however with the absolutely atrocious cap situation this franchise is in for the next few years, how many coaches want to deal with that?

Sean Payton took over Broncos, devoid of talent and willingly took a 40 million dollar cap hit to get rid of Wilson. The Saints are not as far away from a turnaround as you think.

Not an apples to apples comparison, they obviously had the space to absorb that ridiculous dead money hit. We are in such a bad spot cap-wise, the only thing we can do is wait it out and let all the can-kicking contracts expire

I would imagine the ST Coordinator picked the punter, and he is now the HC. So...

Just listened to his press conference. He sounds pretty sharp.

I can see why players love him. Reminded me of Dan Campbell.

His raspy voice reminded me of Orgeron without the Cajun accent.

Until they hire Mike McCarthy as new head coach as soon as he is fired by Jerry Jones.

That is a very sad conclusion..
But I think they follow the trend and go young OC type. Such needs some time and our cap gives it.

We could have had 1/2 a year of Kubiak to see if he’s our next guy or not.

we just need a placeholder while we tank and trade all vets for picks, and amass more picks through high draft choices and/or trading back. assemble a cheap young team. sign practice squad guys. 3 year rebuild. do it right. start stacking assets. when time is right go get next best coach when we have amassed players and the cap room is there.
now go get a GM to start rectifying this shithole loomis has threw us in.
nobody WAf is coming here with this current personnel and cap issues.

Arch Manning will solve all this .

You misspelled Underwood fwiw.

Of course; that’s normal for mid/season firings. Take time to get the next coach starting search going now at leisure. No knee jerk hires. More options at end of regular season, as well.
