Darren Rizzi (born July 21, 1970) is an American professional football coach who is the interim head coach and special teams coordinator for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). Prior to this, he was the Miami Dolphins special teams coordinator. He was one of few Miami coaches to see multiple regimes. He even interviewed for the head coach position for the Dolphins after the 2018 season. After Miami hired head coach Brian Flores, they decided to move on from Rizzi. Before the NFL, he was the head coach of the University of New Haven Chargers football team from 1999 to 2001[1][2] and the Rhode Island Rams football team in 2008.[3] He compiled an overall record of 18–23.

Your next head coach folks. Because this organization can't do anything right. I'd give it about 60% chance he's promoted at years end without conducting a real search

Is this a prediction or did you just forget to add the link.
Would be the best choice though.

We are now riding that have given us the last 2 punters, Grupe (appears to have turned the corner), and this new KO format.

Anyone else running this.

Your off your rocker. Riz was put in so that there would be no question a coach from outside would be next. They tried it. It failed. Next coach is not in the building folks.

Many other sources have run it. It’s nice to see how fast Wiki updated Rizzi’s page. It has his previous coaching history too. I enjoyed seeing how fast DA got replaced.

Rizzi will be a good tank commander.

I agree.
The next coach has a 3-4 year leash. Kubiak obviously is going to take some seasoning but has the contacts in the league to get help over time.
And most importantly, I don’t think the franchise will be able to lure a Kubiak type.

If we rip off a string of wins, I’d hope he’d at least be in the conversation.

How appropriate that his name rhymes with Jizzi

I'll be 100% behind this or this type of hire. We need a lame duck coach for 2-3 years to get out of salary cap hell, and to pile up some draft picks before we can return to glory (and the quickest way to0).

The majority of the time a head coach is fired, they usually promote the ST Coordinator to Head Coach so it doesn't change up the organization too much. You want your OC and DC to concentrate on calling plays. Not dealing with the admin part of it.
