Because Williams has shown to be a solid back for a contending team which non of the players you mentioned has proven yet.

And Williams has done more than Washington, Jones and Ozigbo. You really threw that shite in there as if those guys have proven they can be capable back ups or step up if needed. Dwayne Washington broke runs in garbage time and the other two haven’t done shite.

I’m not one of those, “we have to sign more LSU players” people. I always want the best players no matter where they came from.
Williams has proven himself as a very capable NFL running back. I was disappointed in Jones last year. He did well in preseason, but did squat during the regular season. Washington is a special teamer.
We need a RB to potentially fill in for AK if he misses some games. And if he doesn’t, Williams is an upgrade for depth. And there aren’t many good free agent RBs out there. Williams is the best of what’s currently available.

They have a few decent players in FA and Darrel Williams is def one of them.
However David Johnson i personally would love to add if Williams doesnt get signed. More versatile than Williams

I really hope they sign him. It would make us better as a whole at RB. And as an added bonus it should piss Sean off big time.

Williams is a serviceable back last head he had 558 yards rushing he also caught 47 passes for 452 yards in a limited role. You can’t argue any of those other guys are as good as him it doesn’t compute.

He is a #2 back available this late in free agency with our star possibly suspended up to 6 games.

What? Have you watched David Johnson in the last 2 or 3 years. He is a plodder. He has nothing left. Williams is far more versatile.
