How can a "terrifying" talent playing at a school like OSU, playing against that schedule, with their offense/talent not even get 900 yards?

He was also a no-show against most of the teams with defensive talent they played (Texas, Illinois, Miami).

Yeah those clips just showed really bad secondary play.

lol yes. Tate better have elite level route running. His speed is a massive concern for a guy his size. He’s a tweener. I can see him being the pick but that’s if all hell breaks loose in the draft and worst case scenario.

Jeremiah Smithk factor I guess. Olave never eclipsed 1k either

That said I’d take Tyson over Tate

Lots of scouts saying that time was wrong.

I love R Mason Thomas. He’s a bit on the smaller side, but he’s developed as a pass rusher and he’s just got some dawg to him. I like that pick at 40

Schefter is acting as a sick puppet for his agent.

My comments don't reference his mid 40 though, but that doesn't change what it was

Scheffter got blasted by news media for reporting that. He apparently got that information from Rosenhaus who is Tates agent. Tate was always reportedly a 4.5 to 4.6 guy. That was the knock on him. For his size he’s got speed issues. He better be an elite route runner.

I think yall are crazy knocking him for his speed when plenty of highly productive players run in the 4.5’s.

I would take him in a heartbeat if Styles is gone (my favorite player in this draft for us). Bain is off my board if I’m the Saints and I expect Bailey and Love to already be selected as well.

I also wouldn’t mind Monroe Freeling if Cleveland doesn’t take him. Fuaga slides over to guard and we’re set.

I think our options are probably Freeling, Tate, Downs and Delane after all the risers last week

There were concerns about Jerry Rice’s 40 times when he came out in 1985. Depending on the source he ran anywhere from 4.58 to a 4.71

Yeah, a player that’s 6’2 190 lbs who isn’t a burner better to two things. Elite level route running and he better put on some weight if not. Hes just a bit underwhelming for a top 10 pick. Guys running in the 4.5 to 4.6 range that are successful in the nfl all run elite level routes and aren’t tweeners.

Bain and Downs being available at 8 is too good to be true. Not remotely close to worst case for the saints.

I would prefer Kenyon Sadiq over Tate.

Love would be a worse pick then tate

The backfield by committee Belichick approach is out dated, teams are realizing that bluechip talent at running back changes the game. Since 2014, RB’s considered top talent/top 10 picks have been productive across the board.

We'd have to roll the dice with Downs or go with Ioane

Or take Delane. Idk why more people aren't predicting him at #8 overall. If we lose Taylor in FA, Delane is gonna be very tempting at 8 and id be very happy with that pick. He went #12 in the mock.

Is it? The Seahawks just won the whole thing with Walker and Charbonnet.

You do realize JSN, Lamb and several other elite WRs have ran 4.5 40s and have been just fine, right?

I’m more than good with delane at 8. Personally wishing for offense but we’ve gotta get better at cb. I’m not drinknn the koolaid yet.
