re: Dalton played two of the worst defenses in the league. Not convinced he's the guy.

“I have a long list of excuses for Winston which proves he’s the better quarterback even though there is no history of him ever being worth a shite.”

Yeah….I’ve heard all of your arguments. A million “but”’s or “if”’s.

Once again….we all get it…you’re the president of the “I Cuck for Winston” club.

Eh I get the OP’s point, but Jameis led the offense vs Atlanta and Carolina, two teams that aren’t actually the picture of great defense, and the offense was largely abysmal both those games.

I still have no idea why Atlanta stopped blitzing in the 4th. It’s baffling but I’ll gladly take it.

We could have just as easily been winless before today.

The only thing the fanboys can really stand on is fairly mediocre stats from last season when we played conservative as shite and barely threw past 7 yards. I jumped on board the Winston train for about two weeks because of the game 1 bomb he threw. But then I started to realize he had no clue how to read blitzes.

Can’t lead your team to a come from behind victory if you don’t help give them the lead

Would rather have Taysom than Jameis as far as who I’d rather keep for next season…

One is a winner and one is not.

Sorry the Red Rifle isn't your preferred guy, Winston is garbage.

The real question is if jameis can stay healthy enough to knock off the rust of coming back from shredding his knee.

Historically all qbs struggle when first coming back from acl injuries. Again these are just facts that hurt a lot of peoples feelings on this board.

Let's see what we agree on. You agree that Winston hasn't played as well as Dalton has this year. Correct?

What would Winston have done? Not much. I’ll take Andy Dalton until he gets hurt or becomes an offensive liability like Winston was.

He also played without Kamara, MT and most of the game Jarvis last week.
This week no MT, Jarvis and half the game no Olave.

What is Winstons excuse when he had all these weapons healthy the first couple weeks???

You don’t want to use history and facts to evaluate Jameis Winston though?

Joe burrow just went to the super bowl off an ACL. Deshaun Watson went to the playoffs 11-5. Carson Wentz stayed shitty. Good QBs are good QBs. Bad ones are bad. Historically

This is not sean Paytons offense.

The way I see it, Jameis has the better ceiling, while Dalton has the higher floor.

Jameis can make some great down-field throws. He can throw it 40 times a game. He can go out and get you 4 touchdowns. The issue is he is just as likely to throw 3 interceptions than he is to throw 4 touchdowns.

Dalton is a lot more limited. He won't make as many boneheaded throws as Jameis. But he isnt capable of being that guy either. He can be a solid game manager at best.

If you're going by when both were healthy then no, jameis played better. Jameis on the season has played worse, but it's obvious the coaches fricked up and played him when they had no business sending him out there.

Lol no it isn't. He is not calling the plays. It is not his offense.

In jameis one healthy game he put up better numbers than dalton in both of his starts. I prefer to have neither at this point, but out of the two jameis is better. It's merely a matter of data that folks don't want to see.

He threw 3 picks in his second game. I'm not saying jameis needs an entire season, but he didn't even get two full games of health. He was playing hurt when he had no business playing at all.

Lost his first 3 games with the offense averaging about 20 ppg.
