If Sea trades him this year Wilson’s cap hit goes from $32M to $39M. If they trade him next year his cap hit drops from $37M to $26M. Wilson is probably not going anywhere this year. Seattle takes a huge hit to trade. It really makes no sense on their end at this moment.

For better or worse we will get to see what he brings to the table. If he sucks then just move on.

Honestly they will probably be better positioned to get Wilson next year if Winston bottoms out.

If a one year deal that could be as cheap as $5.5mil for a maybe starter, could be the back up is a pretty damn good deal. If he does earn the 12mil we would probably have a pretty damn good year.

To me, the short term deal tells me we are drafting a QB in this draft.

Jameis will be easy to dispose of if it doesn’t work out... and new qb takes over. If it does work out, great problem to have.

Throwing the ball downfield is fine so long as we have someone who can go and catch it. Is MT good enough to break double coverage and come down with it? Who in the hell else do we have that’s a solid #2 guy? Harris has wheels but has he proven he can fight off tight coverage and get separation?
