Could Drew Brees be a system qb?
Who decides what a "system" is? Every offense is a "system".

Every QB (and every player) is different and has different strengths and weaknesses, and a good coach adapts his "system" to his players.

That said, Brees has a set of strengths that allows him to adapt to any "system" centered on a pocket passing QB. In no particular order, and certainly not exhaustively, these strengths include:

Elite accuracy
Extremely high football IQ
High awareness pre- and post-snap
Strong work ethic

These strengths mean he would be elite under any "system".

And there is no one "system" that works in the NFL for well over a decade, everything gets picked apart. It all boils down to skill, study, practice, and execution.

People have been doubting his ability since high school. I think that’s a huge part of why he is so driven. Only two colleges offered him. Teddy has one good game and people forget how unbelievably talented Brees is. No disrespect to Teddy, but C’mon man !!

Dunno. Not like he ever played for another team and another coach so we have a point of comparison.

He andPeyton are a team. No doubt of his skills but he’d have never replicated his numbers anywhere else. Never
