Just another reminder of what Loomis shouldn’t be doing in a rebuild. Considering most of these contracts are for QBs, it makes the Young signing all the more ridiculous.

I feel like Young is going to shock some people in this new defensive scheme. Let the games begin!!!!

I hope so. He produced squat last year. And no hurries don’t impress me. He was bad at setting the edge and bad at sacking the QB and he wasn’t very good in the run game.

He and Granderson did nothing last year. Guys like Cousins, Herbert and Stafford had all day in the pocket last year.

The fact that Kirk Cousins isn't top 10, that alone (the VAST amount alone) outweighs more than 5 of the list.

Did you read it, or did you see saints mentioned and came here to blast Loomis? The primary reason Young made the list is because of the cap, not because of the “value” of the contract.

Now, Young showed promise with the Saints on a one-year prove-it deal last season. While he only recorded 5.5 sacks, he logged 34 quarterback pressures. However, New Orleans is a team that lacked cap flexibility before Derek Carr's retirement

3 of 10, all in top 4, is not most

I dont believe it's Loomis' worst thats for sure. But my concern is if Young can cover and Chase down backs playing in a 3-4.

Juwan Johnson was a worse contract.

I wouldn’t have given either what they got but Chase is still young and has talent.

Chase Young had 200 more snaps than Cam Jordan and had 3 less tackles and 1 more sack than Jordan. He had 400 more snaps than Turner and that led to 10 more tackles and 3 more sacks than Turner.

Young tries, I’ll give him that. But I don’t get what people see in him. Hopefully he can read and react and find a place in the 5 man front, because he did nothing last year.

Honestly, I think that he could be really good. I still think that Loomis bought high, but Young could potentially earn it. History tells us he won't, but the possibility is there.

I really wouldn’t have given EITHER the contracts that they got lol. It’s time to start giving money to actual production instead of “potential”

Coming out of college, many ‘experts’ were saying he should have been the number one overall pick over Burrow.

He has talent, just looks like he hasn’t developed any pass rush moves or finishing moves since he’s been in the nfl.

Kinda the opposite of the guy I really wanted instead of Shough, Ezeriku. He has a full repertoire of moves. Guess we’ll see if the Saints brass is smarter than me once again. But I seriously doubt it.

Don't put granderson with chase young last yr. Granderson is a very good player

I actually think chase young will play better this yr at a lighter weight.

Ehh. He played 80 more snaps than Young and had see same number of sacks. He did double his tackles though.

Granderson is better than average/bordering on really good. He’s not a consistent pass rusher which we need. He does set the edge and play the run. More than I can say for Young.
