Anyone have a knock on Spicer? It sucks that Grant is out, but let's be honest he definitely has not been playing that tremendously.

Some new blood may insert some fire in a D line that has been getting abused lately.

May end up being the catalist that takes us to the promise land.

Don't most of the big rush plays against us come from Grant's side of the field?

In previous years Grant has been pretty good against the run. But this year he hasnt.

Grant was the lone reason Jonathan Stewart got the long TD run on the opening drive this past Sunday. Stewarts Run

Mccray, Charleston, Hargrove will fill in and play just as well as Grant.

don't really think grant is the reason for inability to stop the rush.. i place the blame on the dt's and lb's that continue to get sucked in

Grant has been horrible this season.. I literally watch him on every defensive play because he pisses me off. He is a lazy sack of shite. In EVERY game where I have seen him come out the defense performed better than with him in it. I can only recall maybe 4 or 5 good plays he has made all season. Screw that chilren feeder...

Do you watch grant play much? He plays LDE on the right side of the field.

This.

Grant gets no pass rush and is decent if runs come right at him. But, almost every long run we've given up this year has been due to Grant over pursuing and allowing huge cutback lanes. McCray on 3rd downs and Spicer should be ok.

We might also work more from the 3-4. Maybe a Smith-Ellis-Hargrove look.

Grant is great at QB contain yet horrible at RB contain. I don't know how this is possible, yet it is.

We'll miss him, sure

We do mix in 3-4 in some games, we could do more of it if needed.

Also, guess the whole "we need to play the starters against carolina" crowd is okay with this
