Champions Square

Although the design from the failed department store Macy’s and other businesses is the crown jewel of Rita’s tenure (she designed and oversaw construction of the square), it’s time to change the name.
Our Super Bowl which the venue is named is long in the rear view mirror and it’s time to recognize former Saints greats for the area.
Brees Square is the obvious choice.
Gleason square Is honorable given his contributions and admirable bout with ALS. Gleason also hosts Gleason Gras in the area to raise money.
I’d vote for Breeson Square to honor 2 great Saints more reflective of the environment in that area today.

I consider Champions Square as a display and remembrance of all those who had won a championship in the dome, as the dome has so much history. It's not just about the 2009 Saints.

I don't know what there was to design and construct. It is mostly a big, vacant paved over lot.
