Made me spit out my coffee almost. This would be the most Saints pick ever.

Wouldn’t be a bad choice considering most believe his neck is fine.
However I’ve listened to enough people talk about the saints changing their defensive mindset on certain types of players to say the if Turner is available at 14 and there is no significant players that slide Dallas Turner would likely be the pick at this point.

Latu would be a very unlike Saints pick actually. He has actual nfl caliber pass rush moves. Imagine that.

with the medical evals, no way I would draft him at that spot

The draft seems to be filled with top Olinemen but not many top edge rushers.

are you assuming you know what will come of the evals? or you're just saying this based on medical history, not evals?

bullshite. I am tired of drafting players with a history of injuries. Hard pass.

I’m as weary as any Saints fan when it comes to picking a player with medical issues. But Latu is there, he’s a legitimate player to take. Just looking at that one injury is a simplistic way of looking at things.

He’s played in every game the last two years and has played over a 1,000 snaps the last two years. He won the Ted Hendricks Award, Lombardi Award, Morris and Pat Tillman awards and was a unanimous All-American.

His only real knock is that he’s not a freak athlete like Micah Paraons or somebody like that and his run defense can be suspect at times.

We need an OT and a pass rusher. He fills that need for sure.

He’s a top 5 talent. You take the risk at pick 14 if he’s there. And I hated the Davenport and Turner picks.

I would say definitely go for an edge rusher if Penning had worked out... I might be wrong but the O-Line players in the draft are thin talent wise... So O-Line in the first... And I am hard headed and still say if Bowers is there take him..

There is no risk to take, if medical clears him, he's a take. IF there are ?s, pass.

Hard pass.

Not because of his Top 10 talent/potential, but because he'd be cleared by/diagnosed by/treated by the Saints' medical staff/trainers.

100% wrong. You do not miss on first round selections. Be safe with this pick and as you move on in the draft you can take risks later on.

What do they say?

He’s played every game (25) since his neck back in 2021 and amassed 34 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.

I have a feeling Turner is a bust. I wouldn’t mind taking a shot at this but with the Saints history it doesn’t bode well so who knows. I would have no problem taking OL in the first and second.

If we take him then it means the front office has completely bombed the last few drafts. Turner cost a first and Fosky a high second rounder. Don’t even mention what Davenport costs. And then you have Penning.

We keep drafting a position the front office has no idea how to scout talent.
