Just go through the schedule and you realize he hasn't played a good game since Week 3 against the Panthers.

11-for 11 late in the game last week after getting knocked on his arse all day.

one thing about it, we finally played some teams that have a good pass rush.

Redskins, Rams.

that Buffalo game was a walk through for Brees.

I did think the Chicago game was telling. Not so much on him but that the O-line had a hard time.

Brody it’s hard to determine he is inconsistent throwing down field when he lacks time & in a lot of cases, lacks the appropriate WR separation.

Not every throw down field is the same. I’ve seen many dimes this year and while he’s completing 70% of his passes it’s hard to say he has time to miss many passes, even down field.

Brees used to make time. He always made is line look better than they were with his mobility & feel for the pocket. He always made his receivers better because of his pinpoint accuracy.

Brees completion percentage is high because of completing so many shorter passes. You don't think defenses are willing to give Brees that over the deep ball? What made Brees great was his ability to beat perfect coverage downfield with an absolute dime. That Brees is gone & not coming back. Its time to start living in reality.

His pocket mobility is fine, he’s been able to buy time but you when he steps up of sideways and is looking downfield, WRs are just not getting open.

And we’ve seen downfield dimes this year, both across the field to sidelines & down middle of the field. I like how you guys disappear for weeks like when he is throwing 58 yards in the air with a normal step & show up when he under throws Ginn trying to fit it in between coverage lol come the hell on

he is getting blasted while those throws are now turning into incompletions. It's not just arm strength here but mobility as well.

The Redskins aren't half bad at pressuring the QB nor are the Rams.

I think that game today could have been had. That is what pisses me off.

i think the Saints got away from some of the things that have served them well during the winning streak. That isn't the reason for the loss.

whether you agreed with the refs calls or not.. the penalties killed us.

a few times Brees had a clean pocket and didn't connect on his throws but I think that happens to any QB who has been rattled in a game more than what they anticipated?

I thought Payton got cute with some of his calls again and was having some half arse ego chess match with young master McVay over there.

Why don't you go look at some prime Brees game footage & compare it to now & tell me that he is still the same. Lol @ that.

It's Rodgers, Brees, and Brady. Nobody even close

Oh they have a few that are close for sure, Roethlisberger is still playing like a champion and no way Brees could fill Russell Wilson's shoes that line in Seattle. If the goal was to make the Saints a world champion, "right now".. or at least in the next couple of years, I'll take Carson Wentz any day over Brees. He may not be putting up the numbers or throwing as much, but Wentz "WILL" get the ball in the end zone...when Brees is falling short.

You need to go watch him in person from the club level in the dome with a birds eye view. Yea he looked better with Evans nicks & bushrod blocking for him with a more complete set of skill players. Ya no shite bubba. If you can separate circumstance you ain’t got shite

The irony of that. If you can't see the DRAMATIC difference between 2008-2013 Brees and now you really do need to go get that check up.

He was awful today - missed a couple of throws I've never seen him miss.

Outplayed by Goff, Cousins, Brady and Bradford.

Doesn’t Brees lead the league in comp % on throws 20+ yards downfield?

How can we spin that as a major regression of arm strength / downfield accuracy?

The Saints are 8th worst in QB time to throw, to boot. 2.57 seconds on average

And that’s even with all the short slants & passes to the RBs we run

Thought it was just 20 yard passes. Not necessarily downfield.

He is 4th in 25+ yard plays, which includes catch and runs

He’s 1st in deep ball completion % this year at 48.8%

Was 1st last year at 49.2%

A loss after 8 straight wins has everyone twisted ya? We played right into the Rams hand where their legit pass rush could pin their ears back and get after drew. Our WRs couldn’t separate. Can we chalk this up as and L and not act like the season is collapsing right before us just yet ?
