The world disagrees with you. Although most of us aren't miserable fricks.

Nah hes right. You’re just positive now because its the offseason when we’re 3-9 you’ll act the same. This was a wasted pick.

Give us a detailed answer as to why, based on the game tape you have watched.

Dude you gotta let this go. You’ve been melting since last night

Allen likes to rotate his DT's, so Breese isn't a bad pick for this philosophy. Unless the Saints get hit with another plague of injuries, he'll hopefully develop in his rotational role.
Saints drafting like a team that earned the 29th pick & not the 10th pick quality team they actually were lol.
They don’t need a rotational DT. They need to acquire the best talent they can and this wasn’t the move.
When guys drop due to the reasons he did, you generally find out why pretty quickly.

did he really drop? I feel the end of the first round was always his draft grade.

On a side note they have no vision to taker a QB of the future.
I don’t think too many teams on the board between our picks need a QB
Maybe Raiders or the Seahawks. If we really wanted to we probably still have the same options at 9 in the second round

There is literally no one available at out pick that didn’t drop to our pick.
That’s how it works.

I don't like the pick because I believe he is too tall, slender and lack first step agility. Offensive linemen will leverage and control him.
I think his natural position is a defensive end and will be Cam or Turner's replacement.

He was drafted off a season he had in 2020. They drafted him as that guy. And if he was actually that guy, he would have went higher.

No, that definitely is not how it works. The draft is about value and the different traits that weigh value.
Not everyone drops because everyone drops.

I mean our FO has been operating under similar delusions for a while so I guess we shouldn't be surprised

Why do we love guys coming off major injuries?
The honest answer is that injuries cause talented player to fall. If you are picking at 29 and a top 15 talent falls in your lap because of an injury past and you are comfortable that those injuries have healed, then it makes sense to draft him.
I also don't love that aspect when we have been a very injury riddled team the last few seasons but I do acknowledge that the logic is that we get a player with more talent than we should at our draft slot.

Some people go first overall.
Everyone else drops. You can talk about why people drop, but it doesn’t change the fact that everyone available at any pick after the first overall dropped.

incorrect. A team that earned the 29th pick takes Nolan Smith or someone like that. We drafted like a team with HUGE needs on the DL and took the best DL available at our pick.

Do you think injuries are what’s causing Boutte to fall?
Now, if he’s there day 3…

Boutte's injury seems to have actually affected his athleticism post recovery and he has all the weird off the field stuff too.
I said weird because he didn't necessarily get in trouble but his decision making left people scratching their heads.

Oh I’m not surprised at all. They were also picking later in drafts with a winning team, so I understood that. This is a bottom half of the league team pretending that they are not.

Boutte has always been overrated, I never understood the people that thought he was so supremely talented he could opt out like Chase and be a first rounder. He had a nice stretch of games during the weird COVID year and then pretty spotty after.
