Hill has been sacked 13 time in last 4 games

Brees was sacked 10 times in the previous 9 games.

I he is going to be a full time starter(I don’t think so), he has to get the ball out of his hands.

Fumbles.
Sacks.
Turnovers.
And poor decision making.

He had a decent game vs Atlanta, but he's not helping this offense

Either he's on an up and down rollercoaster and will be good next week or he can only look good against Atlanta's defense because they suck.

You’re kidding?

Comparing the goat to a player starting his first 4 games and the numbers aren’t equal???

You people are idiots. And don’t confuse my comments for someone who thinks Hill is the long term answer.

So he shouldn’t be criticized ever? That’s what it also sounds like everytime someone says anything negative about him. OP whole point is this

What’s Brees’s sack/turnover stats from his first four starts of his career? That would be nice to know.

I don't know about his first 4 games but his first year was 17 touchdowns and 16 picks

That sack right before the two minute warning was the most infuriating. If he throws it away the clock stops at 2:28. We kick a closer FG which hopefully make and then we kick off before the two minute warning. With two time outs and the two minute warning we could have gotten the ball back with time to do something. Instead he gets sacked and we lose the time and the 2 minute warning.

And Brees at that time should have had his play critiqued too. Coaches or players don’t go “oh well he’s a newbie, no need to critique anything”.

Hell the whole reason they drafted Rivers was because they didn't want to commit to Brees (well Manning but ya know).

Then the shoulder injury gave them the perfect excuse to move on the next year.

So it wasn't just his first 4 games. He was picked apart every year in San Diego.

That said Payton turned Brees around quick. The same coach hasn't done that with Taysom. Maybe he will given time but I don't like the odds.

To answer the question it was 4 tds, 2 ints, 1 fumble (not lost), and 7 sacks.

He's a statue out there. You think the idiot would have more success scrambling or running out of the pocket but he has no presence whatsoever. And gets taken down immediately.

100%, but I also blame Payton for not designing more plays to move the pocket or not giving him a blocking back enough.

But his pocket awareness is near nil.

There’s a big difference in critiquing someone and trying to make direct comparisons between a 4 game starter and a 19 year starter.

He can make people miss when it's a called run, but when it's a scramble he tends to hesitate to tuck and run and even once he does it's like he's still thinking too much and can't make the quick decision to cut or speed up

Yeah, future Hall-of-Famer Brees and Heisman winner Winston would be called out on this board if they had such turnovers. The fact is that we may need all 3 of them to win it all.

Hurts is a rookie starting his first NFL game against the league’s top defense and didn’t take a single sack.

That was such a let down. We got out coached last night, plain and simple. A running rookie Qb making his first career start you either A) blitz his arse into making quick decisions or B) hold the line and don't rush up field opening lanes for a running QB who isn't conditioned to stay in the pocket yet

It was Trey 90% of the time following the run action and being a step inside against a much faster player.

I think that's why you saw much more Davenport in the second half.

Hill has terrible pocket awareness.
