What says ST?

I think he's been so on point with his throws, moreso than any other year I can think of. His completion to Thomas on the first drive Sunday was a thing of beauty.

72% is his career high.

i certainly think 75% is within realistic grasp. Not saying 80% isn't possible but that is such a damning % to hit week in and week out.

His greatness plus terrible NFL rules? Sure, why not?

Unfortunately, the stats are inflated due to the rule changes.

When you can barely touch the QB or receiver it becomes easier to accomplish.

Kudos to Brees though!

he needs to finish at roughly 73.7% the rest of year to end up at least 75%.

This is based on 2016 volume of 673 attempts.

If he keeps this pace up and has a 80% completion rate he HAS to win the MVP award

See people CONSTANTLY say this shite when it comes to Brees, but how come 99% of the QBs in this era don't come close to what he does if it's "the rules"?

Y'all can frick off with that "the rules" bullshite.

He threw 1 bad pass against the dirty birds, Ginn dropped the rest.

So yes I think he can do it.

Tell us how you really feel.

Kidding aside, That first pass to Thomas, and two of Watson passes were on a rope. As many years as we've been watching him, those passes still make me go

It’s completely amazing.

What’s even more amazing is how he missed Watson in the endzone against the Browns!

Pretty much.

Through 3 weeks, only 1 guy is above 80.
Through 3 weeks, only 6 guys are above 70.

6 of 32 starters and I bet only 1 or 2 will end the year above 70.

3 dome games to start the season. It gets tougher to make completions outdoors and as the calendar turns to November and December. Plenty of statistics will back this up.

One would think, but I've been watching Drew long enough to know they'll find a way to give it to someone else.

In fact, he opened 3rd in Vegas odds to win MVP this week - behind both Mahomes and Rodgers.

All 3 games were also in a dome. I still think he can break the record but it won’t be close to 80%

He will face some tough defenses going forward, outdoor conditions, and no telling if the Saints Defense will allow the team to fall behind in games. Forcing Brees to throw the ball further down the field more frequently.

What I think is even more amazing is that lost inside that completion percentage is drops, blown up plays like read screens and plays that have to be abandoned like unpicked up or read blitzes (Throw away).

So the actual percentage of delivered balls on target from the pocket has to be close to 86-90%.
