Its less support of kap and more support for their cause. People see kneeling while the anthem is playing as disrespectful, change your perspective and itll no longer offend you

That's your opinion. I see it as blatant disrespect. Kaepernick's own quotes at the time agree with me:

This is really sad. The greatest player this franchise has ever seen being treated like this because he said he respects the American flag. Drew, I know you are just being pressured into this by the terrible people you call teammates. What about the people that see the flag as a symbol of those that serve and die, so you should honor it. They should have to change their opinion? Why not the protesters?
It’s simple
Some people think the flag stands for oppression so they kneel in order to not honor it. Kap said as such to start his protest
Some think it stands for those that serve and die. So they stand for it
Some are drunk and take a piss during it
Not sure why we are still fighting over this though
But one thing that isn’t arguable is the protest has the flag as a central theme. No clue how that’s all of a sudden being walked back

I listen, not dismissing it.
But ive been to enough saints games iver the last couple years to know its not that its done during the anthem thats the problem for lots of fans, its that they are kneeling period. Know how i know? Saints players go to the corner endzone and kneel before the national anthem, and are boo’d for it pretty loudly....why?

People see the flag as a symbol of everything our country stands for...equality, freedom, sacrifice of those who secured this.
Protesting the flag is insulting.
And, that was exactly why he did it. He wanted the controversy.
