Those aren't parentheses. (These are parentheses)

Wish this were true.

Look at the link. His arm was fully extended when his knees simultaneously touched turf/bounds.

And honestly, the Rams weren't stopping the Saints when we weren't playing conservatively on offense, so I think we still pull that off.

There's no telling what happens there, but what we do know is that we put up 21 unanswered after that call. We go into the half tied, I mean, rams were unbeaten for a reason.

But I'll take it.

I would be more upset with Goff throwing a pick on the wrong 30 yard line right before half or Greg the leg missing a FG in perfect conditions, or Peters letting Thomas blow right by him in a game deciding moment without safety help

if we are being honest...these plays had a bigger impact on the game than a call the refs might have gotten wrong but didn't have the video evidence to overturn(common sense would have overturned it but there was no conclusive video evidence to support the change)

To be fair, during the review, a good portion of this board felt it could go either way. It was ruled short initially, but there was many here who felt the call wouldn’t be overturned. I feel the ref got the initial spot wrong myself but his right knee was actually down before his left knee, the left is what everyone was focusing on. There may be new angles out there now, but that doesn’t mean at the time, those were available to the replay booth

What if they got the first and the next play was a pick 6? Missed field goal? Fumble? Etc....

The better team won.

Why you think you know better than the NFL refs watching the replay, I don't know.

And how you somehow relate this to the NFL fixing games for profit is beyond me.

I personally think he got the first down. Would it have changed the complexion of the rest of the game or the final score? Who knows. It's all speculation.

Bottom line, Saints won and took a huge step closer to securing home field advantage in the playoffs.

You're wrong and video evidence proves it.

You could go cherry pick a hundred plays that could've gone either way.

This wasn't holding or a false start. This was going for it on 4th down. Sort of a huge play.

And they stormed back to tie it at 35. Both teams have offenses that can do that. Saints like you said went conservative to start the second half and the rams came back. We turned it back on and got 10 points to win.

Rams also had a couple first down catches that looked like possible drops but they jumped to the line and got it snapped.

Hey. Shut up. There was only one questionable play all day yesterday and it was the turning point of the entire game and the only reason the saints won.

This is the truth here. Saints made more plays on offense and defense to win this. 4th down stops, turnovers, and conversions from said turnovers. Saints defense stepped up big after the Ingram turnover and we got lucky they missed the field goal.

Saints made more plays to win, bottom line.

How about you stop giving this attention and enjoy the fricking win.

Like I said, I think we still win that game, but the shifts of momentum when something like that happens can't be dismissed just because of how many the other team won by. We can't predict the "what if".

Even looking at the replay it’s much closer to could have gone either way than OP is making it out to be. Focus on the right knee, not the left. This wasn’t just a full blown bad call, there are literally much worse reviews than this every single week.

Oh well, it's the NFL. They're going to get things wrong and something was finally to our benefit.

I could accept this if it wasn't reviewed. But it was and the officiaks chose not to make the right call.

Truth. There was just not a definitive shot that showed the ball placement when his knee touched out of bounds. It was very close to a correct spot. Just nothing absolute definitive to move, probably would have been left wherever spotted.

It was a tough spot call but those are the hardest to get overturned. The guy should have powered to it instead of knee of sliding.
