As a fan, would you be willing to completely tank ‘23 for 24?

Let me start this post by saying that I believe teams that go 8-9ish but would never have had a chance in the playoffs anyway are essentially suckers. Even more so if you do this without having a franchise QB.

That being said, would you be willing to tank the entire ‘23 season to have the assets to get the number one overall pick in ‘24? I’m Particularly interested in the opinion of season-ticket holders that put up their own money for the product.

I think just for reference, bengals fans probably would’ve been willing to tank multiple seasons for the picks to get Burrow.

I'm not sure we have to try to tank with DA as HC. It'll just happen.

BTW I was alive when we went 1-15. So there's that.

As a Fan and Season Ticket holder I would be willing to Trade Players for Picks to rebuild the team thought the Draft. But we could be handcuffed on a few different players like Thomas ... That being said I know and except a couple seasons can turn really ugly during the process.

But to just sit and just do nothing, I have a Problem with.

Yes. We don't have shite at QB and our HC is a doofus.

Plainly, I don't care how the Saints do until we get a QB that looks unbothered when faced with pressure situations. This franchise fricked up royally with attempting a short-term build around Jameis.

The Giants won a Superbowl at 9-7. Anything is possible.

I agree. I wasn't on the Mickey hate train, but then I watched his last presser and it shocked me how out of tune he is.

This team is closer to bad than good. It sucks, but it's truth.

I will say HC > QB. But both are very important.

Loomis. Does. Not. Care.

Not sure why ole Mickey still has a job at this point.

It’s not about “willing”, it “will” since the Saints were Happy with last seasons results. Mickey must like losing

Tank how? Intentionally lose? frick no. Trade away anyone not on their first contract and roll with a very young roster? Yeah, I’m down with that.

I don’t think we will have to rank on purpose, we do have DA as a head coach. That to me signals that Loomis is tanking us.

No, even with our roster flaws, injuries, and the failure that is DA as HC, we are closer to winning our division and being a playoff team than we are to being the Texans or Bears. No one in the division will be drastically better next year, and if Brady leaves Tampa they should get worse.

Winning the Super Bowl is always the goal, but I much rather make the playoffs and lose than tank for a draft pick.

No one to hold him accountable, he’s a made man. He believes in his personnel decisions and in the guy he picked to lead the team…and there’s no consequences for being wrong

The issue is which players we can do this with.

Guys with value already had deals restructured to give cap relief that makes trading them a major issue. This applies most to Ram and Latt. I don't know if we can trade them and remain under the cap (without some shenanigans and possibly destroying the 2024 cap).

Tank and push all the picks back to the year we get a new HC. Might as well try to get rid of M. Thomas also.

Trying to tank won’t be necessary, it’ll just work itself out naturally. Loomis has already started the process by keeping DA.

You cant tank in one year with the roster they have. They should have started it last year after Payton left and they decided to hire dennis fricking allen and have chicken shite coaching staff searches, then trading draft picks like candy for a damn WR.

the fanbase is completely complicit in the run-it-back shite, too.

Just think about it. We're trading a very late 1st round pick in 23 to get a top-10 pick in 22

An 8-9 team is usually 5 plays away from 11 wins
