SP’s time is up. A lot of fans will berry their head in the sand over this one but it’s true. ‘Most hated this side of the Patriots’ isn’t a compliment. It’s a scathing reality to describe the difference between 7 straight CC games and 2 in 12 years. SP is turning into Jason Garrett. Beginning to think he has nude pics of Benson.

There are some flaws in there as expected. Payton has always been like that, even in bad seasons. He’s hollored across the field at opposing coaches and got into it with opposing players before, Steve Smith, Shockey (with Panthers). If he continues getting us to the playoffs I really don’t care. This isn’t church or the library, it’s football. I had a coach in high school that was the same way, and other team’s players and fans hated him, we loved the shite out of him.
ETA: Also, the Vikings skol clap or whatever it is. From a friend of mine at the game, he said Payton did that several times during the game, not just at the end.

Yea solid season after three years of brain-numbing mediocrity but we didn’t win the super bowl or even reach the conference championship game. I think this boils down to the inconsistent expectations of our fanbase.

Please tell me how many teams (besides the patriots) are making it to conference championships every year? The Salary cap and free agency makes the NFL have a ton of parity. Sustained success is hard, but at least we are living in the golden age of the Saints right now. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Who cares if other fan bases hate the Saints. I'd rather them hate us than laugh at us or feel sorry for us, especially the south teams. Makes the division games better if there's mutual hatred.
