Archie's ties to Ole Miss could be a reason. Maybe Peyton didn't want to play for Curley, which makes sense looking at his overall record. Peyton wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps and go to Ole Miss, but they were facing NCAA sanctions.

Eli ended up following in his dad's footsteps to Ole Miss, so can't blame him there. But his desire to forgo LSU could also have been due to LSU being in HC limbo after firing DiNardo mid-season and taking a chance on that guy coming from Michigan State. Ole Miss had the stability with Cutcliff having been there for a few years

Not sure how much consideration he gave LSU, but Arch most likely wanted to avoid the cluster F situation Coach O left behind and the uncertainty with Kelly

The Manning Family will never allow one of their own to play for the New Orleans Saints, period.

Move on.

Why would Peyton or Eli send their kids to school in LA when they did not live here during their professional careers.
And obviously Cooper’s son went to Newman

College.

He's not talking about HS.

Thank goodness it's not the families decision.

What he’s talking about is them not going to LSU, he just frames it in cowardly language by using “the state”

LSU also had a commitment from Josh Booty who was ranked at worst as the 1a Qb to Peyton in the class who signed with MLB. After 5 years in the minors he eventually came to LSU at the same time Eli was coming out

First of all OP, stupid post. Secondly, it'll obviously be March for Arch. Jeez, Achin' for Arch? Really? Man you're dumb.

Good. I so hope we don’t draft Arch. Unless kid blows up this year what has he done. He stared at Newman, let that set in. Every time Newman played a team with a pulse he had horrible game. Go look at his HS history. He looked like Joe Montana against Country Day, yay!

1). Arch Manning not playing 1 year of college ball and opting for the draft. He Needs at least 2 years in college as a starter.

2). The Manning family would be never “allow or advise” Arch to play for the Saints due to the following:

A). Crappy Ownership
B). Worst GM in Football
C) Unnecessary Pressure on Arch

Remember…. Arch not running straight to NFL just to make money.

The boy is already a multimillionaire just from being in College 3 years…. and more money is coming from Texas !!

If the Manning family ever pushed or advised Arch to refuse to play for NOS they would be blackballed in Louisiana and considered lower than gator shite.
Not going to happen no matter how much you stroke to the thought.

He hasn’t even played any college games yet. How do you know he’s even any good? Oh yeah “Arch”.. Duhrrrr

Same thing could be said for Shough. 7 years in college and only one mediocre season. Arch will be able to put up those numbers with his eyes closed

Sawces down in Thibodaux during camp said he is not coming out for the 2026 draft.

2027 draft is the March for Arch.

Ill break the news to you, he isn't. Couldn't beat out Ewers and he was TERRIBLE in high-school once he played any real competition.

Don't believe me? Look it up!

Did your parents “send” you to whatever college you went to?

Any kid that’s well to do in NOLA doesn’t go to LSU

What has Arch done to prove he’s better than Nuss? Nuss’ dad is our OC, right? Nuss is the #1 QB draft prospect going into his final season. Arch has a long way to go to catch up to Nuss in everything except name recognition.

That’s not an LSU homer position, it’s objectively proven.
