Back up QB is an important position in the NFL, especially if they’re cheap like Rattler is. If he’s clearly better than Zach Wilson (which I think there’s every chance he is) then you cut Wilson and keep Rattler unless someone offers something pretty significant in compensation for Rattler.

I actually liked when they picked broughton in the 3rd round.
Some people forgot what he did at Texas since he was hurt all of last yr. Another good player on the d line.

I think he would go to the PS just to see if he can stay healthy for one season. If he's on the 53 a good healthy RB goes to the PS and is more likely gone than a oft injured RB.

The guy tapping out of the national championship game and watching his team get destroyed by 70 points was a sign that he is A) soft and B) doesn't love the game. Let's just cut this guy and get it over with. Move on. His type of attitude is cancerous.

Is Brown doing that well, or are the rest of the receivers doing that bad? All the reports from NOF and NOLA.com are that the offense has looked pretty awful overall so far.

Offense always looks much worse than defense early on camp. Also camp reports are virtually meaningless. They’re just fodder for fans and message boards in August. They have almost no actual predictive impact. For every “oh this player” or “this unit” looks great or bad in camp story that turns out to be accurate there’s another 3 where the complete opposite is the case once the season starts.

I think people forget the days of Brees throwing INTs in the early period of camp to jabroni DBs that we prayed would pan out. Offense always starts slow, even during the season.
