I think the price is OK given the cap Increase. The other thing is his last year will be his age 30 season, and he has a little bit less wear and tear because of missing his rookie year. You might be playing a slight premium because of the number of years on the contract, but I don’t think it’s truly an insane number. And as others have mentioned- likely some dummy years.

When Jalen Nailor signs for 3 years 35 million you’re going to see guys like TE get this. This has been wild seeing these contracts because they all seem like overpays.

I don’t love this move. Prior to last season, Etienne was considered a bust. He had a great year last year but with the amount the Saints are paying, this should have been a home run. Hopefully he builds on his season last year and doesn’t revert.

Would have vastly preferred Walker for the little bit more he got, but at least HB is reasonable compared to other positions.
