Robinson isn't even close to Sproles in terms of talent. The only possible way I see them letting him go is if they get Seastruck or D'Anthony Thomas in the draft. Besides, Brees and Payton love Sproles, no way they get rid of him.

Payton and the front office love Jenkins. This makes me wonder what type of contract they give him.

Smith needs to do the right thing and walk away. It's time Mr. Smith, it's time.

I don't see them doing anything with Pierre Thomas' contract either. They will let him play out his last year next year, them offer him a minimum contract or let him walk, IMHO.

I wonder what they do with Strief and Brown. Do they take the best contract and let that player start at right tackle. Brown did well at right tackle when Strief was hurt. Just a thought.

DLP has been a big disappointment this year. It was a contract year for him, which is even worse. I'd like to think they get a center in the draft, but who knows.

We probably arent getting rid of sproles and shouldnt imo. Focus on getting rid of guys like vilma, harper, smith, greer, and brown. Doubt we get rid of pierre and sproles, they are too valuable to what we do.

Will Smith and Vilma are done. Jenkins likely won't be back. Harper should get the stepping.

This may sound stupid, but what does "money we lose if cut". If will smith is cut, does this mean of his 13mil salary only 10mil is taken off the books?

moore (2.531m) - production vs. cost, it isn't there. you're paying him 5mil next year to give you 400-500 ypg. Is it worth it?

I think 400 yards per game is worth it

Between JG and Cam Jordan, they better figure it out because Cameron Jordan is an anchor on the D-Line for years to come

We need both, no doubt. Wil Smith is an obvious cut, even with the buyout, and we know Vilma & Brown will be gone, but Saints have a tough cut or two to make, unless we have a couple of players that will consider a serious re-negotiation.

Offer Jabari a job in the organization as incentive to retire, if that interests him at all.

Not really.

If an NFL player retires, he is still owed the signing bonus technically meaning he will still count 3.6 million against us in 2014 if he retires but we do save the difference of 2 million.

The time is now to replace him. He was a great player for us but we won a Super Bowl without him and we can do it again

I like Sproles, but I can't help but agree with you. They can let him go and free up some cash. This might allow them to get another running back to help establish the run game. I know the run game was good last week, but could use more throughout a whole season.

Would be nice to see Brees take a paycut to help the team out like what Brady did.
