Have we talked about how Zion was more worried about trotting over to pick up his shoe instead of going back on defense in the final minutes of a close game? Wtf was that.

No win situation. Foul them and put them at the line, play without the shoe and risk injury, or pray we can hold without fouling.

Sucks all the way around.

Ive never seen that happen to any star in the clutch. He strangely has a lot of shoe issues- whether slipping, falling, bursting out if his shoe, or his shoe falling off. Just really weird.

Here’s the thing, I get why people are mad at it

But you same motherfrickers would be losing your heads about it “not being worth it for a regular season game” if he got injured trying to play without his shoe

Maybe we wouldn’t be so worried if he wasn’t a fat arse

Old fashioned hightops might help.

Let’s be honest, Zion can’t even play effective defense with 2 shoes on. Imagine him trying to run around and defend in 1 shoe. He’d be lucky to survive that possession.

Yeah the shoe thing was weird. He literally fell out of it just making a move. No one stepped on it. These players need to lace up the damn shoe and stop worrying about slip ons.

Definitely ran the risk of getting seriously hurt just continuing his initial play without the shoe.

and it’s sad he’s one of the very few guys that we have to hold our breath for when he’s running around in one shoe

A guy with a history of lower body injuries isn’t going to finish a play without his shoe

Every player would stop and put their shoe back on in that situation, running around on a slick court in socks is just asking to twist an ankle.

Stop it

It was just a chaotic, unfortunate moment. I’m not certain what he should have done. It sucked, but it wasn’t the sole reason for the loss.
I wish he would have just tackled someone.

The sad thing is that the team did not foul to stop the ball and even after Houston scored, Willie called a timeout instead of throwing the ball downcourt to Zion for a dunk.

And it wasn't with less than 1 minute left in a close game.
