Word is Zion is done for the season , guy I know associated with the Pels said that is what he just heard. He was not 100% sure the reason, but, believes it’s due to the thumb injury.

Is he already ruled out of tonight’s game?

I haven't seen any comments on the injury report for today. Just what was reported yesterday:

Pelicans injury report for tomorrow’s game against Philly:

- Brandon Ingram (left ankle sprain) is OUT

- Steven Adams (right first MTP sprain) is DOUBTFUL

- Nickeil Alexander-Walker (left high ankle sprain) is QUESTIONABLE

- Josh Hart (thumb surgery) remains out

I expected this to come when the news Ingram would be down hit. A very long shot at getting the 10th spot really isn’t worth risking Zion getting hurt in a meaningless game.

That's the rule, you have to file the injury report by 5pm the day before the game. They wouldn't be obligated to release a report today.

Highly doubt this is true. There would have been news about it and Vegas would have changed the line tremendously. Even so, Zion would have been listed questionable on the report if anything. He’s not even on yesterday injury report list.

Gundy mentioned yesterday that the team practiced but so few of the players were available that he’s not sure how much it accomplished. Made me think Z was probably one of those that didn’t practice, on top of the injuries we already knew about.

Guy is probably right. Last time we had a random poster break Zion injury news, that was also legit.

And Z did get injured last game and when he came back he went more assist mode than usual, which told me he was hurting and probably just playing off pure adrenaline.

Tbh, this is not a meaningless game and we can win without Ingram. Defensively we improve when he’s not on the court. All we have to do is go 2-4 or 3-3 and we are in. Spurs could honestly lose every single game they have left. Memphis can too. There is no way in hell they would shut down Zion if he wasn’t hurt. That would also be a great way to run him out of town. He already didn’t like the way we handled him last year, if we did that again with the season on the line, that would be 2 out of 2 years we have pissed him off.

The line is 7.5 for Philly right now. They would know before most people, so if you see it move to 12.5 then there you go....

I hope you’re right I want to see as much competitive basketball as possible. I would love to make the playoffs and maybe have NAW and Hart come back but I’ve learned my lesson on getting my hopes up for this team this year. Hopefully next year will be different.

Zion done. Should shut down Ingram and Adams for sure and maybe even Lonzo at this point. Let Hayes and Kira start and get some experience. Bring Didi and Iwundu off the bench for 10+ minutes per game. Play the hell out of Bledsoe in hopes of him getting some nice padded stats at the end of the season in preparation for a trade in the offseason.
