Will never forget Tim Legler going on SportsCenter and exclaiming we were the favorites in the West because we added him to the mix, coming off of our 07/08 run.

Good times.

Thanks, I had blocked that from memory!

What makes it worse is that he was productive a long time as soon as he left...

He was productive. Just not star level player we needed him to be. Asik and Hill was probably worse because they were unplayable.

At the time it must be Posey. Such
high hopes crashing down.

Early in his first season my high school had a basketball tournament that Posey came to. There was a three point contest that he competed in and he lost to my friend who was in 6th grade. Everyone was excited for my friend but all I could think about was man that cannot be a good sign

Nice. I like Legler.

Asik is probably the worst for me. Dude was given the money and you figure ok that's a lot of money for a defensive guy and then it turns out he couldn't even play defense. Just an overall terrible basketball player.

Asik. Absolutely terrible. Then he got a parasite in Mexico and that was the end of his career. Thankfully we have Jonas now.

The Omer asik 5 yr 50 million extension is one of the most baffling contracts I can think of. We all were hopeful he was gonna be a good fit for us. I remember watching him dominate with the turkey nation team and this board was so high on him.... then we saw him play with us and anyone could see it just wasnt gonna work, and we still went ahead and did it.

Tyreke Evans.

The sign and trade we did to acquire him killed the AD era.

Tyreke wasn’t an awful player, but it was an awful allocation of resources for a small market play, and was the absolutely wrong player to pair with AD and Jrue.
