The Lakers have offered a new package to New Orleans that includes multiple young players, multiple draft picks and Pelicans salary cap relief for Anthony Davis, league sources tell ESPN. The offer appears to move closer to the objectives that the Pelicans are pursuing in a deal.

Looking at some of these teams. Jesus, some of them have no assets at all.
Dallas’ main “asset” to trade is Harrison Barnes, who is decent but overpaid.
Nets? D’Angelo Russell (RFA) and Crabbe’s expiring deal.
Houston? Noogie please. Unless Harden is coming back I don’t see shite.
Miami has a whole lot of meh and expiring deals.
GSW could offer Draymon or some other expiring guys who want no part of us.
And most of these teams don’t own their own 1sts or have other ones.
Any of these teams looking to deal would need to bring in someone else willing to provide the actual assets.

I honestly don’t believe any of this. No way is he signing a long term contract with anyone outside of L.A.
Just ship his arse somewhere after the season that’s not L.A. and be done with it. frick the Lakers, let him sign there as a free agent if he has to. There’s 28 other offers I’d take over there’s.

Lakers president Magic Johnson and Pelicans GM Dell Demps have had multiple conversations today, league sources tell ESPN. There's no sense how much progress sides have made progress toward a possible trade, but the Lakers have absolutely gotten more serious in the discussions.
crewz predicted all of this.

In everyone’s face when Pelicans get the #1 pick on their own
Looks like a 3% chance currently

Translation - “Ingram, Kuzma, Zubac, Rondo, Stephenson, and a bunch of future Laker 1sts”.
No sale.
We want another team’s picks or young talent still under contract last next season.

clippers are a destination. what can they offer

If Magic didn’t get serious on this, every team in the league could recruit in FA over him trying to lowball the Pacers, Spurs, and Pels in consecutive seasons and failing every time.

A spite deal if it were just the Lakers. With the Knicks in the mix they really don't have much to offer.

Danilio Gallinari, Avery Bradley, and Lou Williams.
I’ve seen worse assets.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks are among the teams on the new extended Davis list, league sources said. Still, Clippers are another team holding onto cap space and assets for summer free agency. So far, Clippers haven't made an offer on Davis, sources said.

It's pretty obvious the leaks about AD willing to re-sign with the Bucks or Clippers are coming from Klutch, as neither team can offer more than the Lakers. Trying to force the Pels into thinking that there is no other destination.
Posted on 2/4/19 at 1:41 pm to Cap Crunch
Klutch isn’t smart enough to pull off a Jedi kind trick.
The Knicks and Celtics will be bidders this summer no matter what, so it won’t be like LA can drop their offer and still compete.

Milwaukee doesn't have enough. Middleton (FA), Brogdon, Maker, S Brown, Wilson, Bledsoe
LAC: SGA, Tobias (FA), Montrezl, Jerome Robinson
A Brooklyn deal would have to include Caris Levert.

I just hope the Pels do not cave.

basically that they're in serious talks like some of the Lakers assets deal could be close and waiting till summer to engage again and send scouts out to laker games and leak how much we likr Ingram and kuzma
Posted on 2/4/19 at 1:46 pm to Cap Crunch
any offer the lakers make now will be there in June.
anyone saying they'll pass on AD then just because they didnt get him now (and get swept by GSW) is selling something
