I don’t understand the melt. If a deal didn’t get done, we get a half effort AD next year that can pretty much walk the year after and we get nothing in return.

We get 3 young players, who have yet to peak. We’ll pick Zion and get a 4th overall. Another 2 first rounders to keep young talent coming in. This has Golden State potential, where you build through the draft the way they did.

everyone's looking at this trade in a vacuum right now

it'll be the follow up moves that will show just how good or bad this trade is/will be

I really think we put a package of Ball the number 4 pick and maybe future pick to get a future all star type player. Would love to see us trade Ball, The 4 pick and future 1 to get Memphis pick . Not sure if they would bite but worth a shot.

AD sees how dominant Pels are next season and walks back to the Pels next summer

Can someone explain what this pick swap stuff is about in years we don’t get the Lakers 1st round pick.

I think the next 7 draft picks thing is huge. That's not something we know when the news came out.

I hope AD blows his knees out while he’s sucking LeBron’s tiny dick.

A bunch of idiots in here complaining. We just got back a lot of pieces and future picks. Considering we could've got nothing I think we did pretty good. Shut the frick up already

Two thoughts....Lebron got what he wanted. Now it will be that much more fun to watch the next two years of Laker mediocrity. They are not in a position to add the talent to be better than a 7 to 8 seed.

Lonzo Ball was never the problem with Lonzo Ball. If he is aware and sees what his moronic father did to him perhaps he takes this as a chance to restart.

We essentially get their 1st every other years, then the other other years we can swap picks if their draft slot is better than ours.

Brad Turner - @BA_Turner: With trade talks getting contentious, Pelicans president David Griffin didn’t take call from Lakers GM Rob Pelinka until fourth call today, per source. Pelicans changed mind on wanting Pelinka after getting 3 first round picks.

hope the Lakers continue to suck balls and those other 2 1sts all become top 5 picks (like this year's #4 overall)

that would turn this deal into a steal for the Pels and set the Pels up for the next 20 years

Hope in your right hand and shite in the left....

They’re also the favorites to win the whole fricking thing.

Lol. AD hardly sniffed the playoffs 7 years here and the Lakers missed the playoffs this season. Now adding AD and losing Ingram and Ball makes them better than the Bucks, Raptors, Rockets, etc? You're melting hard my dude.

Teams are already expressing significant interest in the No. 4 overall pick belonging now to the Pelicans, league sources tell ESPN. Talks are expected to continue over the next few days. This deal could get even bigger for the Pelicans.

This is a great deal for the Lakers for the next two years, and then it sets us up to be dominant for many years after that. Griffin just set us up to be contenders for ten years, starting in 2022 or so.

I'd prefer they miss the playoffs and hit the lottery again like they did with this year's #4

yes... daddy Ball is the reason most Pels fans don't want Lonzo here

Did I miss the “can’t wait to see the players holding their new jersey’s” post?

Because this could rival Gordan’s

We may trade the #4 pick. I really want Culver or Hunter to grow with Zion.

I think the Pels will almost certainly move the #4 pick. I think the talks dragged out because LA was trading to find a taker for the #4 in exchange for an all-star like player but couldn't.
