Ideally I would have wanted to avoid the Jazz first round, play Portland or OKC. Then second round play GSW. Doesn't look like that is possible though. I guess now to get that matchup I'd really want to be 6th playing Portland 1st round, then GSW 2nd round.

yes
there is no difference if the pels play POR as 3/6 or 4/5.
at 3/6 (need POR to beat UTA) they would avoid HOU in 2nd round.
UTA will be 3 if they beat POR or 5 if they don’t
we cannot play the jazz until the WCF either way (assuming OKC beats MEM)

Pels over Spurs (obviously)
Thunder over Grizz
Nuggets over TWolves
Jazz over Blazers
You'd come out with
1. HOU
2. GS
3. UTA
4. POR
5. NO
6. OKC
7. DEN
8. SA
Pop and the Spurs take out Rockets,
GS could have a tough time with a surging Nuggets team,
OKC has the experience edge over Utah
Pelicans match up well against Portland as we all know.

Since the Grizzlies have the 2nd worst record locked now, watch them come out and beat the Thunder. frick everything up

Matters as far as potential 2nd round matchup, one of these teams could give the Rockets/GSW a tough run.

I'd rather be the 6 seed and play Portland, but i don't see them beating the Jazz tonite.
Maybe the Warriors turn it up in the playoffs, but they don't look good as of late. I don't know if they can get past Utah in the 2nd round if utah is the 3 seed.
