LINKshitty site (fansided) but a good off-season question

Jose alvarado
CJ McCollum
Brandon Ingram
Zion Williamson
others?

if Ingram does lead the team in assists, what does his stat line look like? Does that make him a no brainer all star?

What does zion handling the ball some do for CJ? Is off or on ball CJ the best CJ?

And what if Jose has similar/more impact as last year but over a much bigger minutes load? What does that look like for him and for the team?

It’ll be interesting to see how this goes

personally and without any research I think Jose is going to have the biggest change in his role from last year, for the better. It’s just too hard to keep him off the floor given his defense

CJ for me.
I don't think BI will lead in a stat.

I don't think we will see a primary ball handler emerge to have anyone break out with much higher assists than the rest of the team. I think it is more likely we see BI, Zion, CJ and Jose (if he gets the minutes) all have 4-6 assists per game.

This offense is going to keep defenses scrambling all game. I have no clue who is going to emerge as the primary ball handler. If I had to design the most deadly play I feel like it involves BI and Zion in a P&R with CJ off ball.

Also, I love Jose, but I think Trey is the one with the bigger jump in minutes.

I can see Herb being #1 in assists honestly. He will probably take the least amount of shots out of the main group. He will also have the ball a good bit and will play more minutes compared to other players because of his defense.

I wouldn’t be surprised if CJ, BI, and Zion all average 5+ assists.

Yep...it just depends on amount of "usage" that Herb gets. He'll be the best passer on the team, imo. And I expect them to try & get Herb off the 3-pt line a whole lot more this year and increase his overall offensive game. Hopefully, we won't see situations where the other team can just hide/rest players such as CP3, Morant or even LeBron on the defensive end...by just standing with Herb, out at the 3-pt line. MAJOR year coming up for Herb as far as his possible offensive development is concerned.

6 is a lot.

I hope its cj.
he's the only one who is grounded balanced and resourceful.

point zion should be only randomly.
he needs to up his ft% before I'd use him as Pg in a playoff game.

so far the game hasn't slowed for ingram. he looks particularly uptight in the lane.

its possible that Jose cannot keep up the intensity if he plays more minutes.

anyway I would ride cj as pg if I were coach.

I would definitely work zion as Pg preseason and ends of decided games and work on his handle. if he comes up to real Pg handle that makes a huge difference so you can play him as Pg vs possible opponents with serious defense chops.

Wiggins?

That's why I put a range Dog.

I don't think we will see someone become a league leader in assists, so nobody in the 8-10 range. 3 or 4 guys falling in the 4-6 range is completely possible with this team. I think the team will also see a couple extra assists per game on fast breaks with the new take foul rules.

Wouldn't be suprised if cj and Ingram averaged 15-16 assists combined per game

CJ with 6.5 assists per game.

BI comes in at 6

Potential Hot take: Zion around 4.5 if not 4

I see less point Zion and more Shaq Zion he’s going to have so many clean lanes where all he has to do is beat his man (easy for him) and the rotation will be late.

My guess is CJ leads the team but no one breaks 6apg average across the whole season.

It's got to be Ingram, as long as everyone is healthy. He might have the ball in hands the most, and has been steadily gaining some distributor/point forward skills last season. He won't be the #1 scorer anymore, and he'll have the ball a ton, so it just makes sense. CJ #2.

I just don't CJ getting a lot of assists. Teams are going to focus on BI and Zion and I think CJ is going to a lot of open looks. But seriously, teams are going to have to pick their poison when they play the pels.
