What's the worst Pels game you've attended?

Since we're enjoying some good vibes and a bright future, I thought it'd be a good time to revisit the dark times from whence we came.

The single worst game I have ever attended was just this same year. Home game vs. the Timberwolves on 11/22. We got smacked from the opening whistle to the final whistle. No energy from the team, from the fans (there really might have been 12 people there). Hell, the T'Wolves didn't even want to be there, yet they beat us by double digits with ease. I believe the starting lineup was: Sato, Hart, BI, Temple, and Jonas. BI went 2/13 for 9 total points and Jax wasn't even good enough to play. Zion seemed as far away and distant as ever, and the future was bleak.

Man, how far we have come in 5 short months. Let's enjoy the ride.

There are so many to choose from.

The Hornets/Nuggets playoff game where we lost by 40 was pretty bad.

that was fricking miserable. But it wasn't 40 points...it was 58 points. We were about 5 points from being doubled up.

I think at the end of the game me and my dad were the only people left in section 122.

But I felt way worse after the Spurs game 7 loss and blowing the 20pt lead to the Warriors in Game 3.

The year the Warriors won 70+ games. Stadium seemed to have had more people there than any regular season game I have been to in recent memory. Probably not as much as some Zion games but i've only gotten to go to a few Zion games.

But the stadium was probably %75 Warriors fans. It was embarrassing. After that game you could have convinced me that this city is a basketball city, just not for the Pelicans.

2014 pels vs blazers. Me and a buddy splurged on some good tickets. Blazers were really good sitting at 22-6 with a prime lillard and Lamarcus Aldridge. Pels were around .500. We were down something like 14 going into half when we went to get a half time drink. Line was really long and we didn’t get back until a few minutes into the 3rd. Looked at the score board and we were down 30 in just those few minutes. Final was 114-88. Dont think we stayed the whole game lol

Other than that I’ve been pretty lucky with pels games. I’ve probably been to around 15 games in my lifetime and we’ve either won or it was really close in all of them except that one, even when we sucked.

Game 3 of the 1st Round Playoffs against GSW in 2014-2015 season. Ryan Anderson was channeling his inner Dirk Nowitzki and we were up big going into the 4th Quarter. We blew the lead and with a few seconds left, Steph drains a corner 3 to send to OT. We ended up losing that game.

If we talking Pels/Hornets there is no contest

Game 4 - 1st Round of the Playoffs against Nuggets - 2009

LINK

Hornets had won the previous home game bringing the series to 2-1 and we had hopes this home game would tie the series.

Game was a disaster - Lost 121 to 63. I think it is still the worst recorded loss in Playoff history.

Chris Paul had probably the worst game of his career - Only 4pts in 36 min. I think they came from free throws. Peja couldn't make any open 3s. Team couldn't rebound at all - I think Chandler only had like 1 rebound. Even when the Nuggets missed they would get 3rd & 4th chance points. Hornets had 54 total turnovers. Disaster.

Stadium was packed with energy at the tip. But, I remember only 100 or so people left in the stands for the 4th quarter.

This loss was the beginning of the end. The next season, the team had to blow up to avoid the tax. Ownership just bailed leaving the franchise in the NBAs hands. Chris Paul started talking trade. I just remember the potential we felt about that team and the disappointment after that game. I haven't felt good about a New Orleans team sense....

Until Now!

Playoff Game where Hugo Stunt went wrong was pretty bad too. Game started at 9pm local time. Then they had to stop the game to clean the floor. Players came back out, someone slipped, then players went back in the tunnel and they had to clean the floors again. We were there until close to 1am I think.

Been a STH for quite a while, so I've watched some bad, bad basketball by the Pels over the years where I could count the number of people sitting in my section in the 4Q on two hands. Most of those games I got home and forget about it as soon as my head hit the pillow.

That said, easily the 2015 Warriors Game 3. That was a late, late start and even though the Pels were rolling it felt like the crowd was starting to get tried and everyone just needed the Pels to put the game away so we could go home.

Big 4Q comeback by GSW with Curry hitting a ridiculous game tying 3 over AD after the Pels missed several chances to put the game away. Remember getting in a stupid argument with my lady on the way home, not only did the Pels lose but I didn't game laid for awhile after that night.

I’ve seen some awful basketball, but if we are talking about being utterly pissed, pelison’s suite game against the Jazz when we were fricking robbed ranks up there.

The game wasn’t that important, but we had such a good time, great turn our, name to faces, BI played amazing, and then Gobert and the refs went full on balls deep and ruined it all.

Correction, this is tops for me. We just stood around for 10 minutes after the game was over like surely they're going to do something about this.

frick. I ‘member. All the got damn Jazz players done ran for the exit thinking that would have the refs close the game out before any review. Then they reviewed it. Then they fricked us.

Same here. This game immediately came to mind. I splurged on great seats for this game too. Mike McKenzie was right in front of me. Stayed the whole damn game
