Trade Rich Paul's new client Lonzo Ball to the Bulls for Coby White

Hope De'Aaron Fox club option doesn't get picked up. If it does, then sell out for Fred Van Vleet.

Draft Cole Anthony.

Pretty much, I'm selling out for an upgrade at both the starting and backup PG positions

A rim protector that can shoot 3s.

A hybrid 3/4 who can shoot 3s

A back up point who can play off ball

Bro, Lonzo would be crazy to leave here.

Lavar can be sold by Rich Paul on the 20x bigger market, championship banners and being the next big thing.

i cant comment on whether chicago wants a guy coming into a big contract or even wants lonzo since coby white is under contract longer.

but rich paul could sell the balls on the deal and pelicans could sweeten the pot with a pick.

i'd go for maarkenen.
is he healed up? if he is, i do that deal.
hes perceived as not it.
lonzo for maarkenen, and you can probably get a better first rounder in a switch.

I haven’t made a decision on who yet, but I doubt we’ll see anything more dramatic than a single signing that does something like bolster the second unit. That’ll be okay with me.

Re-assign Gentry
Hire Atkinson
Drop Moore, Frank, Jah
NAW added to rotation
Cheatham added to end of bench
Draft Devin Vassell or Patrick Williams

KD = limited edition toy. Shiny new toy = Soloman Hill, Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik, etc

The key will be the development of current players. I don’t worry as much around fit for Zion or BI for that matter. For example, Favors gives this team exactly what’s needed regardless of his ‘fit’ with Zion. A smart hard nose veteran presence. Hopefully, we can keep him at a reasonable cost. If he can add a consistent shot off the pick n pop he’s money well spent. BI with his length and a good offseason of strength training will help him handle bigger forwards. Zion and Hayes with a year under their belt will provide better rim protection. Jrue and Zo quietly are building chemistry and were a problem for opposing backcourts. Melli was super deceptive on the defensive side of the ball, quick hands and feet and his shot stretched the floor well. We really need NAW to develop as a second unit ball distributor. We were a top 4 team in the West from Christmas on and the starting 5 was the most effective once Zion got back. JJ and Hart are solid, maybe add some vet post depth and we’re good.

really just want a new coach.

ready to draft a guy and develop him, again. Hopefully a 3/4 type player.

I'd prefer we upgrade Favors, but really don't care that much if we resign him to something very reasonable.

kenrich is young and they seem to really like him as a leader.
I think you can afford to bring back one of Moore or Williams and Williams will be much cheaper.

one thinking to keep in mind is that they will owe roster spots to:

-NAW
-hayes
-louzada (most likely)
-a first round pick

that’s 4 spots for guys that likely won’t meaningfully contribute. Hayes in spots but not big minutes. Williams can soak up some minutes for Zion at PF. And I agree with the cheatham comment above, I think he can hold his own against other benches and rebound at minimum

so right there that’s six or seven guys on minimums or rookie scale not even counting zion. Half your team

sorry man.
Favor's 28.
15% from 3
58% ft. and it goes nearly straight at the rim. worst form ever. worse than wilt.

he has no clue about shooting mechanics.

he can rebound and play defense inside.

thats all you are getting.
now. ever.

ideally pel mgmt is looking at other options.
he is plan B.

I like Favors at the right price. Problem is we’ll have a large chunk of cap tied up with Jrue and BI. with Zo being extension eligible. This pushes the timeline up to compete for deep playoff runs to now in my opinion. Favors plus another big ...maybe a Plumme does it. One for one Replacement of Favors with another big doesn’t. Thats how important paint presence is in the NBA.

If we let Favors go, look for other major roster moves as well in the near future to set us up to absorb upcoming contracts and compete for deep runs later down the line.

What about a veteran like Thaddeus Young or a bigger stretch like Kelly Olynk?

A pure shooter would help too if we end up shifting Redick or he retires.

I like Young or Olenyk with Favors. We need more weight until Hayes is ready. Zion is a beast but at 6’6 he can’t be expected to handle post duties for long stretches without wearing down and losing his effectiveness. Favors is no high flyer but protects the rim and paint well with his size and smarts. Ideally adding Plumlee who has size and can run to me would make the Pelicans an extremely dangerous squad.

redick is under contract for next year and not expensive. great value.
hes a pel.

another shooter is always good though. redick was sorely missed when he was banged up.

i like the olynk suggestion. he is one rough sob.
no one will take advantage of the little guys.

I like olynyk a lot.
I was hoping the heat would have to sacrifice him this past year but they did a great job getting out of the tax

we would need him to opt in to his player option (12MM). Then you could send them miller’s contract plus 2MM to cover his trade kicker and a pick
