Nah, Okafor is way too valuable with his small contract, size, upside, and team fit.
Guys like Kenrich, Woods and Moore seem more likely with the minutes we have available, imo

Considering the Pels are “in discussions” with him, the assumption is that it is a refusal to play because he thinks he will get cut and wants to move on.

Not gonna lie, I like Wood and was with you yesterday on him needing time and a spot on this team. And ofcourse it was only 1 summerleague game but Ive changed my mind and would rather Hayes get the minutes wood would get so he can continue his development. He is already capable of contributing positively in the NBA but if he can be fine tuned in a few areas such as his rebounding and weight gain, then he can be a guy much more ready to play along zion in the next couple years than I thought. But wood is a likeable guy who can score but doesnt move the needle in the same way as a guy like Hayes can for this team if he is ready sooner rather than later.

I assumed at first it was a matter of guaranteeing his contract for next year, but surely that shouldn't take this long. I was excited for him as a prospect after last season, but with the way our roster has filled out I am not going to lose any sleep over either gaining a future asset, or packaging him to obtain another rotation player, for a guy that we signed off of the street in March.

What good is your “serious “ discussion going to do?
Relax and enjoy what the Pelicans are doing

I don’t see why they would waste a spot on him just to ask him to not play

Another guy who is getting terrible advice from his advisors. All he talked about was just wanting an opportunity, yet he’s sitting out nationally televised games over his contract. He could be playing 25 mpg in the summer league right now boosting his value, but instead he’s a healthy scratch
Wood averaged 20/11/3 in the summer league last season and is a career 23/11/2 guy in 123 G league games. Plus his NBA resume. Y’all fapping over Hayes’ one summer league game when this guy has a resume

I have no idea why you resign Darius who never made any consistent shots in crunch time, has absolutely no higher ceiling than you already see, vs a younger, taller, more athletic Wood. I thought he would play back up 4 or small ball 5.
Gotta believe in Griff. Perhaps Darius is moved.

Cause Wood is worth 1.5 mil and we gave Darius 7 mil so we can trade him for a better player. Can't trade Wood for a better player, maybe a late 2nd round.

Miller is signed to an inflated contract because it gives wiggle room for a future trade. Having his bird rights allowed them to do this. If they let him go they get a vet minimum player that doesn’t really help much when it comes to salary matching for a trade.

But favors is. How many monsters centers come off the bench?

He should considering it's his 3rd year playing in it last season. I'd be worried if he didn't look dominant with all of that experience.

Package Moore, Miller, and a filler and you're looking at close to a 20mil player.
