Problem is, no team in our position is going to use this time to experiment. You can fairly argue we should have done more of it earlier in the season and I'd agree. But Trey also wasn't showing these additional glimpses of attacking closeouts, floaters, etc earlier in the season.
fair point. We just can’t keep going into these spurts in close games where we have CJ and BI holding the ball for 18 seconds and then either taking tough shots or trying to pass the ball and force someone else to take a bad shot. It rarely has worked out for us. It’s why I prefer BI and Herb be the primary ballhandlers.

Quite frankly I could make an argument that you cant trust CJ with the ball in his hands primarily in crunch time.

You can only do so much when he's really not just a let it fly guy, and his offensive game is also still limited.

Trey wasn’t the issue last night…the Warriors dared Naji, Josh, and Dyson to beat them by playing a gimmicky defense while leaving them essentially unguarded on the perimeter and it worked for them.

Couple that with some questionable decisions and poor rebounding efforts in the second half by guys that should do better (looking mainly at CJ, JV, Larry, BI) and it created the perfect scenario for a 30pt swing.

Not sure why anybody would make that argument.

I'm halfway to the point where I'd be ok with Kira taking some Dyson minutes. Dyson was way too indecisive last night. There were 3 times that he had wide open looks, one would have been a little floater and two were open 3's. Let it fly man. His defense is great but he's not on a Herb level where it doesn't matter if his offense is bad it makes up for it on the other end. I can live with Dyson missing open shots, we all would like to see him more aggressive, I can't live with Larry taking crunch time 3's.

Bingo! Add CJ also, they all hesitated or tried to dance after the initial BI pass out of the double. At that point you have the numbers and a defensively unbalanced court. Just drive hard to the rim for a layup/foul, lob, or kick out. The hesitation and dancing just gives the defense time to recover.

Kira and Hayes should have been getting run (particularly on the 2nd. of a b2b on the road) but they’re glued to the bench watching an ineffective Naji, CJ, Dyson, Nance and Val. Thought Josh was ok.

I’ll be surprised if Kira plays any real minutes the rest of the way

Kira and Hayes had to have crossed Coach Green something bad.

coach needs to make playoffs. he's not "taking his lumps" with 6th in sight and a 3 game win streak by whomever is in 11th putting #11 in play in instead of odd man out.

for coach its crunch time.
he gets zion back and wins series vs one of the top 2 seeds he's golden.
lose the 9 10 game and pels are looking for a new coach.

We could miss the playoffs and he'll still be the coach. In fairness to Willie, he has had a lot to deal with. It's not easy having to have this many different lineups and having stars out this long. It's easy to hate on him, it's easy to hate on almost every coach, but Willie is a good coach.

Plus it'd be a very bad look for the organization if they fired him.

If Willie gets fired its because we have a new FO. There is not a chance in hell Griff gets to pick a 4th coach. At that point he's the common denominator and he'll be gone.

Look how hard the Warriors work to get 3 looks for their snipers especially in the corners.

Dude is going to be an All-Star fast. He can shoot lights out and he can jump out of the building

Trey isn't at all similar to those guys.

No big deal but...Warriors shoot VERY VERY few corner 3s. Their big 3 shoot maybe 10-15% of their 3s from the corner. Kinda odd nowadays for an offense...but their "off the dribble" and "coming off a screen C&S" offense just hardly ever results in a corner 3.
