Most of Edey’s points weren’t against him.

That doesn't explain why he only put up 10 and 6 in 33 minutes against summer league competition.

And when Edey did face him seems like Edey got the better of him. Not sure if Edey is that good or Kessler is that bad.

Honestly, I think they're both borderline starters/rotation guys in the NBA and it showed.

Hard to take much away from Summer League to be honest. The teams don't practice together much, there's no cohesion, and the vast majority of these guys will never step foot in an NBA game. Total no ones that never did shite in the NBA have dominated, and all-stars have struggled

We've seen what he can do in the actual NBA, and he's pretty good. Good defender, good rim runner, good rebounder.

He had a down year, however.

I wouldn't give up a completely unprotected 1st for him, but I would give a protected 26 one up.

We are kinda desperate, that's just the situation we appear to be in.

Griff, obviously disagrees

Agreed. I was impressed with Edey’s mobility but its also summer league so it’ll be interesting to see if he can stay in front of real NBA players.

Give them BI. According to PT, he’s worth at least 4 first round picks.

For a guy drafted 22, who fell down their rotation and got sent to the summer league.
That is the odd thing. It certainly appears Ainge is trying to showcase him for a trade. No reason to have him in SL.

The Knicks have interest in trading for Utah Jazz big man Walker Kessler, but the cost could be steep.

SNY's Ian Begley reported on Tuesday that teams had offered two first-round picks to Utah in recent weeks and were rebuffed.

Pretty sure they don’t even have one first to trade

frick it give em two. Walker only needs to block shots and rebound. If having Murray run the point can get BI back to take 6-8 threes a game like his first couple seasons here, all that discussion about fit will go out the window.

I refuse to give them two firsts in this new cba. I like Kessler a lot but that’s fricking steep.

Ainge is higher than giraffe pussy if this is true. Trade for Brook Lopez or Deandre Ayton, if Ainge doesn't come to a more reasonable price.

Yeah, for some reason I don’t believe this, either that or Ainge has fallen off the deep end

The fact that Walker Kessler looks like a human version of the King Cake Baby has to add some value.

According to picks owed, the Knicks have the following. Pretty sure it is NOT updated post-Bridges trade.

2025 - Own; DET 14-30 (via HOU to OKC); MIL 5-30 (via NOP to POR to DET); WAS 11-30 (via HOU to OKC)

2026 - Own; DET 12-30 if not already settled (via HOU to OKC); WAS 9-30 if not already settled (via HOU to OKC)

2027 - Own; DET 10-30 if not already settled (via HOU to OKC)

2028 - Own

2029 - Own

2030 - Own

2031 - Own

Considering the Knicks sent out four unprotected picks and a swap, my assumption is that the remaining picks they are trying to send out are heavily protected Pistons and Wizards picks.

Neither of those two teams look likely to be out of the top 10 anytime soon,

Kessler and Paul Reed and we would be set with Theis acting as the 3rd C role that Zeller played last year.

Was told by someone with contacts within the organization that the Pels did actually check in with Utah on Kessler. The response was that the asking price was not close to reasonable. Not sure what the plan is.
