We always knew some team would come in and get the Lakers out of the mess they created. It’s a shame.

The goddamn T wolves bailing them out pisses me off to no end.

This is fricking nauseating if true

That’s so weak to bail the Lakers out like that!!

Gotta dump the picks now.

Because of them potentially getting DLo and Beasley and a good role player?
Beasley isn’t shooting that great this year. DLo is DLo.

The Lakers biggest needs are: defense on the wings, shooters.
Russell and Beasley help with the shooting part, but their defense gets worse with this trade. I'd much rather see this deal go through than see the Lakers get better on the wings. You know they are making at least one trade, I'm not worried that D"Angelo Russell is going to make them a contender.

LeBron has a bad foot he's been playing on and Davis came back from a stress fracture in his foot. The odds of both of them holding up down the stretch are not good. This trade will not help the Lakers if either of those 2 miss a month or more with injury.

Why are teams helping out the lakers? Vanderbilt and Beasley aren’t slouches either
No, they arent
They are actually two players the Pels should have been targeting for that matter.
A switchable hard nosed, high IQ big and a microwave gunner that can get you 3-4 threes a game.

Also, if we're being honest, this trade is great for 28 teams in the league. It's only not great for the Pels.
It makes them incrementally better, but trading the only 2 1st round assets they have available to trade for those 3 guys is an objectively bad trade for the Lakers.
Sucks for us as it makes it more likely our picks from them are worse, but it's not a huge needle mover for them even if they get all 3 dudes. They're too far away.

If this 3-team trade gets finalized ... Lakers draft D'Angelo Russell in 2015 ... who, two years later, is traded to Nets for No. 27 pick, Kyle Kuzma ... who, four years later, is traded in a 5-team deal for Russell Westbrook ... who, today, is used in a deal to bring back D-Lo!?

I don't see how the Lakers have the draft capital to make this happen unless they give up all the picks and swaps they can.
Ainge wants a 1st each for Beasley/Vanderbilt, which honestly isn't unreasonable.
I was listening to this clip from Woj where he says Minnesota isn't going to let DLo go easily. LINK So I don't think they'd be paying any freight and might even expect something for a DLo/Conley swap.
Ainge isn't blinking against the Lakers so there must be more involved, and it's definitely not just 1 1st.

1) ainge isnt offering any cut-rate deals
2) since shams' report, total silence...meaning the deal aint done nor was it close at the time of the report

I don't think Russell is really even an upgrade over Westbrook. Marginal maybe. Screams of a "we don't want this guy, and you don't want that guy" sort of deal.

Am I just stat watching or do people really think malik beasley is anything more than a C tier player?
His numbers this year have been almost identical to Devonte’s his last year with the hornets.
