Correct, but for that trade to happen Toronto would have to add more than FVV, Suggs has way more value than he does.
In what universe is Suggs more valuable than FVV?

Depends on whether people are still intrigued with Suggs’ potential vs reality.
Does not help that FVV’s shots are not falling this season.

I still have faith in Suggs. Dudes a winner. I think he’ll be like Marcus smart.

The universe that Suggs was the 5th overall pick last season, is only 21 years old, has 2 1/2 more years on a cost controlled contrcat, plays good defense, vs FVV whos an expiring contract, 30 years old, undersized for a guard, shooting has fallen off a cliff.

The Nets and Raptors have discussed a Pascal Siakam trade, per @MikeAScotto The Raptors are interested in Nic Claxton Ben Simmons and several first-round draft picks have also been discussed in trade conversations
Hmmm, Nets trying to offload Ben to get another big salary?

Really hope we get some good insight into what the hell happened in Toronto, just out of sheer morbid curiosity.
By all accounts coming into this season it was a team that felt more like 1 to 2 moves away from being a legit contender, instead, they are blowing it all up.
That locker-room must have grown insanely toxic that Toronto has decided it’s so unslavagable they are just selling off their best players.

Im wondering if Nick Nurse hasn’t worn out his welcome with the players. I don’t think he’s one of those yell all the time coaches, but those guys tend to be so overbearing that the players just tune them out after a couple years.
Also losing their vet in Lowry may have something to do with it.

While talking about Lowry, Miami is dangling a 1st round pick to get off of his money. Clips are also looking to get off Kennard’s money.
I wonder if there’s a deal for them two teams to make that we could jump in and grab Kennard since Miami doesn’t have a use for a guy like that. Clips maybe able to talk themselves into Lowry fitting with Kawhi since they’ve won a championship together.

I know y’all probably hate this but I would be down for trading for Ben with his value so low. Play him at Center. DG, Hayes, GT and a pick.

First off you’re about 6 million off from making that trade work.
Second off we’re not going into the luxury tax for Ben fricking Simmons.
Third off, why the frick would we be giving up a pick and not demanding all 3 1sts that the Nets can send back?

If you think the offense dies now with Herb out there, you just wait.

$40m/season for two seasons is an issue with a guy who is an offensive black hole and who took an entire season off in a pissing match with his previous team.

Sure wouldn’t hate to the Pels help them out and take him off their hands.

Fourth off, Dyson May end up being what Ben Simmons could have been.
Fif off, Ben Simmons is the only LSU player this board has never clamored for or expressed regret that we didn’t find a way to draft him. I always thought that was very telling about Simmons.

That's what I've been saying. They have too much talent to be so bad. But maybe it's as simple as no rim protection.
We see how far we've fallen without stars to overcome that some situation here.

Has there been any update on Dyson's injury? I haven't heard anything in a while

If the rumors of Miami offering a first to get off his deal are true, then I would see if Spurs would take the 1st to use their cap space and everyone could be happy.
Clips: Lowry, Billy
Heat: Reggie Jackson, Hayes
Spurs: Graham, 1st from Heat
Pels: Kennard
Miami gets out of the tax this year and creates a 10 million dollar TPE and allows them to re-sign their young guys next season.
Clips get off Kennards salary and get a guy they can convince themsleves would help them win a championship, also get a backup big for Zubac.
Spurs get a 1st to use their cap space.
Pels get a shooter in Kennard, create a 6.8 million and 2.2 million TPE, open up 2 roster spots and get 9 million below the tax line while still having our MLE to use in the buyout market. Also Kennard gives us an expiring 15.5 million contract next year we could flip for bigger piece

The idea of Simmons is always better than the reality of Simmons. I watched every one of his games at LSU and couldn’t believe that the dude just refused to take over games, regardless of the competition. Once he got his 20 points he basically disappeared
