Tbh I’m fine with BI taking the rest if necessary. Easy to reinjure much more severely if he comes back too soon and we need him for post-asw way more than we need him for tonight

And I know that BI really wants to play in the ASG. I'd really hate for his ankle to swell back up and for him to be unable to play in that game.

He made the team. I would love for him to sit out that pointless exhibition game

I feel very sure that it isn't pointless to BI.

And yet i have zero doubt that it is pointless to me.

I think the honor of making it is cool. The game itself is a waste. If he isnt healthy enough to play tonight, he should sit that exhibition too.

Right. We'll make sure that everyone gets with you to determine whether something should matter to a player or not.
It's his first all star game and it isn't until Sunday. It's not like he'll play more than 15 20 minutes in it anyway.

No need to get with me. I have no financial interest in BI or Pels, thus no influence with either.

If I were a player, had a lingering injury, and thought my team had a real chance at making the playoffs, I sit out any and all exhibition games, no questions asked.

Being recognized as All Star is where the honor is. The game is stupid.

If he sits out 3 important games in a row and then plays in a meaningless self-fellating exhibition game....man....that would be a tough look for me.

I agree that the game is pointlees. I rarely watch more than a couple of minutes( real time). BUT, I may feel differently if I was a young player,

If Doug Loudenback makes the trip to New Orleans, there’s gonna be trouble.

The ASG is not pointless... Its an EXHIBITION game, highlighting the games best... It doesnt count for anything but to promote what the sport has to offer in terms of talent.

Those looking for a hotly contested game with arduous defense and being disappointed with the "effort" of play, I get it, but it doesnt count and the casual fan wants to see the artistry and athletic prowess of the game's stars.

BI has earned the right to showcase his talents on the biggest stage the game has to offer, other than the NBA Finals. Its his 1st AST. The Pels, being a small market team, needs its players to play, in order to attract quality Free agents and for the media to look favorably on the franchise. So,not only should BI WANT 2 play the TEAM needs its players to play for a littany of obvious reasons...

I respect that point of you. I just don’t get interested in any All-Star games. NFL
or MLB, either.
