I didn’t say that because they should be shot if they plan on doing that too much year 1. Imo.

I doubt he wants that. He's going to want big money and 4 years

2 year deal gets him to the 10 year vet max. That’s his best money option. But he may rather security.

To me Harris “starts” at the 3 with Ingram coming off the bench. Harris finishes at the 4 in crunch time with Ball, Jrue, Ingram, and Zion.

Ingram off the bench is the perfect role for him on this team and he can start if we need him to.

Feel like Harris would be more of a 6th man that’ll get 28-32 min a game. And will play the 3/4 depending on rotation and who’s out there

Really like Tobias but he would make little sense here considering what he would cost. I want Zion playing minutes at center, but not most of his minutes there.

Hart doesn’t talk like he has a cock in his mouth.

You want a guy on a 4 year max coming off the bench?

I’m sure about 4 people will comment that “minutes are what matters” but I really don’t agree when you’re paying a guy a max contract. That dude should be an integral starter.

That’s what I’m implying. Don’t see him signing with us. Seriously doubt we bench Ingram. Tobias could very well be a better player now but idk like I said I don’t see Gentry or Griff doing that to him unless it’s for a guy like Kawhi where it’s obvious Ingram will sit the bench. (I know we aren’t getting Kawhi)

Who would Utah need to unload? At least Favors and someone else I imagine.

I know. And it doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside to give it to him

Oh man would Harris be a great snag. That would be a pretty top level free agent signing for our franchise considering our history in FA. 30 mill in cap space for the Pelicans is nowhere near the same as 30 mil in space for the Lakers. If the Pels are able to land a character guy like Harris who has the potential to be a fringe all star level player who can shoot at 40% clips from 3...you absolutely have to take that right now. Let’s get Zion used to winning and playoff competition early and often.

I also think Harris stunting the growth of Ingram is a weak reason to disapprove. If anything, his defensive versatility allows guys more freedom to not get pigeon holed into positions on that end of the floor.

I don’t put the odds at “high” or even “below average”, but I’m not putting anything past this offseason right now. We are riding a wave of positive publicity and momentum. I wouldn’t put it past a guy like Harris looking at a Pelicans team with hungry, team first players like Holiday and Zion and thinking, “damn I could really make a difference here”

Replacing Rubio and Favors with Conley and Harris could help push the Jazz into favorites.

Favors is a team option.

Based on salaries and perceived usefulness, the player I see getting moved is Dante Exum.

Neto too

Brooklyn is considered the favorite atm per Jones but it depends if they strike out on KD/Kawhi

Please God, just not a 4 year deal

There’s so much of this in this thread that it’s comical to me. We were always going to have to build through the draft and trades mainly. If you can add Tobias Harris into cap space, even at a max deal, you take that all day every day.

Who’s our biggest FA signing? A bad back Peja? People are in this thread acting like we’re going to for sure land a top 10 player in a couple years. Even with Zion, it’s tough for ANY team to bank on landing guys in free agency.
