I don't think I'd put Steph's brother in the top 5

Whoops.

Meant Harden, not Steph twice.

You meant steph twice and left Harden out and you damn well know it. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I think there's about 7 or 8 who you can argue are top 5 depending on the criteria you use.

Some serious Kawhi disrespect here.

KDs injury drops him for now at least. AD still doesn’t have an argument over any of the other 5.

It’s not like they don’t have cap space. I’d bet money some solid veterans (like Pat Beverly) take a little bit less to try and win a ring.

Is AD really top-5? 12-15, no argument from me, but 5?

You’re only saying this because you’re bitter about him leaving. The absolute lowest he could be ranked is 7-8 imo

I feel like the Lakers will be left out in the cold with ring chasers.

Theres a ton of money out there and more established teams

It doesn't matter how good they both are

You cant win at the highest levels with 2 stars plus middling players especially in the west

I get what you’re saying, but Portland just made the wcf with that kind of roster

Toronto just did this in respects to the whole NBA, not just the West.

Eh, I wouldn’t call Toronto’s roster outside of Kawhi “middling players”. Gasol, Lowry, Ibaka, and Siakam are high quality players

And got their asses kicked

Portland was deep with NBA caliber talent the whole way that fit together even though the talent wasnt the best.

I won't have much faith in pelinka to actually make a fitting roster

2 mid level free agents plus scrubs won't be enough

Would have to look up all his numbers, but I know he is attempting more 3s and making them at a higher percentage since then.

Harris's Win Shares/Vorp were significantly higher

They were definitely overmatched but AD and LeBron are better than Dame and CJ by a HUGE margin. Not to mention that GS will look very different this coming season.

Can’t argue with this

Disagree here. With GS likely out of contention, I think AD, LeBron, and some guys who are just okay will be one of the West’s top teams

Also, every advanced metric I just looked up had Harris as the significantly better player last year.
