Things have gotten so bad that SKC isn’t even staffing some of the concessions.

Who wants to pay 25 bucks for a hot dog and small drink while the Pelicans are getting blown out by 30!

Completely agree.

It’s dire times when you can’t even manage 12k for games against Lakers, Warriors and the defending champs.

Nick Friedell interview

https://sports.yahoo.com/video/orleans-pelicans-relocating-isnt-realm-180432446.html

quote:

New Orleans is the only city in the league where there isn't a group of fans that come Early to see Steph warm up. Pelicans have got to have the most Apathetic fan base in the NBA. Can't really blame them due to the way the team is run. That's from Nick Fridell, now in New Orleans making his Yahoo Sports daily debut right now

quote:

To see a town so apathetic toward basketball and its own community Team. I mean, Fitz, the key here is the Pelicans. Are terribly run. They've never found success. Zion's always been hurt. Anthony Davis was hurt before him. OK, but Steph is supposed to bring Full House and bring joy and Bring all kinds of fans there to see him. And when you have a half-empty arena to watch Steph Curry and the Warriors play. If you're the NBA, you have big, big problems. So, uh, I think this is a real red flag for New Orleans as a whole. If you can't fill it up to see Steph, uh, it doesn't matter. Uh, I mean, if I were Adam Silver, I'm looking at this and thinking, All right, what are our options here?

If they would have hired a young energetic
coach things might have been different.

New Orleans will support someone vocal that can win. The bigger problem is that Gayle is literally dumping the least amount of money into the organization from a fan perspective.

There are no community events anymore that help connect the team and the fan base.

Dennis’ $350m investment is now worth $3b+. That’s all he was worried about.

No fan base would support a team this poorly run. Win some games people will show up

Will the next step be covering up seats in the arena?

That would require getting ad money and the team is having trouble finding sponsors.

They created new sponsors for the Dome garages last year by just laundering money from her car dealerships. Then they raised the parking rates to pay for her buying 1515 Poydras.

I love how Scott kushner always calls out the bullshite.

This roster is pretty bad and has no good rim protection.

Plenty on here thought this was a playoff team before the season started.

I can't believe they gave up that pick to the hawks. When it happened I said it was bad even though I like queen as a player. Good player. Horrible trade.

WIKSF as an in-over-his-head try-hard admin on Pels Talk is a perfect representation of the Pelicans as a franchise.
