Why the Nets do it?

They get the better player out the deal and can market him easily while also gettting the ability to re-sign him because he has his friends with him

Why the Cavs do it?

They get an expiring that can play the way they need, a 8th pick of the draft project, and 3 FRP for a guy they were going to trade no matter what. An absolute haul.

Why the Pelicans do it?

You surround Zion with great deals, rebounding, and shooting!

JA / Nic
Mik / Larry
Zion / Trey
Herb / Hawk
CJ / Ryan

We would be legit AND Zion proof.

NGL That was my only hiccup

My guess is we would have a CP3 homecoming for 2 years at a VERY reduced rate.

Also this is predicated on Point Zion 70% of the season.

What kind of contract is Claxton looking at?

What were the proposed pels trades for allen?

Not sure you need Claxton if you are trading for Allen.
Both will want starter minutes.

Maybe they can send Cav's Claxton and the Pels can keep Dyson.

Can we just work our way up to Zion being available for more than 50% first?

I dont hate this tbh and Dyson can back fill the PG role.

Not really. No one really values Dyson Daniels my guy.

However the Nic Claxton reroute Aussie proposed I like A LOT now.

You aren’t getting Bridges. They would want to come out of that trade with BI and Bridges.

From what ive read they are good with moving on from Bridges if they got a similar player plus picks back. The Nets literally have no draft picks.

----------------

The Nic reroute would have to send JA and Okoro to the Pels to make sure all teams are under the Salary Tax.

So Allen, Mik, Okoro to Pels
BI, Jose, Naji + 3 FRP to Nets
Nic and JV + 2 FRP to Cavs

Nets would get the larger pick count now to facilitate the reroute. Okoro is an expiring so in reality I wouldnt be too concerned with him.

Someone asked what about Karlo? He would be signed as a two way contract.

Let's say the pels make that trade. I don't think it magically makes the pels a contender for the chip.

A Starting 5 of

Shooting Splits FG/3FG/FT

JA (Rebounding, Roll and Cut) 65/0/76
Zion (Your Star and PG) 59/40/66
Mikal (3 and D + Secondary ball Handler) 54/36/82
Herb ( 3 and D + can bring the ball up) 49/39/86
CJ (Another Secondary Ball Handler and solid #2) 46/44/82

I think is easily a WCF team. You have three guys on the wing flirting with 40% 3 Point Shooting and 2 that can defend at an all world level.

Your Bench:

Larry
Trey
Hawk
Ryan
Dyson

Team is legit 8 deep and okay at the 9 and 10 spot.

How about we not trade for Allen because you get claxton.

Claxton is too small to be your starting center. He gets crushed in matchups against bigger bigs.

Agreed. I think teams have figured this out. They should've traded him when he had more value.
