Dyson gives us back what we lost when we traded Hart, which is a guard/wing that boards like a big.

Though whereas Hart is sort of savant-like in his ability to predict rebounding angles and weave to the best position, Dyson has some of that, but he can straight up leverage himself like a big at times.

I think he has "Best guard/wing rebounder" in the league as his ceiling.

Right now, that's Luka, and it's not close. But in his full season with us two years ago, Josh Hart was #2 in total rebounding percentage.

I don't know if Dyson is going to be a better rebounder than Luka, but I am very confident that he'll be top-5 in that category.

Pure stats wise maybe not, cause Luka also has the Westbrook treatment going for him, in that they literally funnel rebounds to him cause they are a pure heliocentric offense.

But in terms of actual skill and technique? its in the cards.

I mean it's not a large enough sample, or enough burn, but he's already the #1 guard in the league in rebounding per 36 in guys that have played multiple games.

It's

1.) Dyson
2.) Giddey
3.) Luka
4.) Hart
5.) Simmons

I think its an omen of things to come personally. The whole package is there for him to be the best guard rebounder in the league, and with it it will open up a lot for us lineup wise.

It’s so refreshing to see a player actively boxing out.

Yeah, for a non-big to have an elite rebounding percentage, the team has to want that player to have the ball in his hands after the rebound. For Luka, that's obvious, as he's always initiating the offense. With Hart, we wanted him to get the rebound for his one-man fast breaks.

So, if Dyson is going to get up there in rebounding numbers, we need to prefer him to have the ball after the rebound. And Dyson can push the ball, but if he's the elite passer that I think that he can be, that's what will eventually clinch that. That touchdown pass to Jose against the Grizz was a thing of beauty. We used to regularly see those passes from Lonzo to Zion. I want to see if Dyson can unlock that weapon again, because Zion in transition is unstoppable.

The second unit of Jose, Graham, TM3, Dyson, and Nance are such freaking good. But I need Naji to stop thinking he’s a scorer or Kobe in his prime. He needs to chill on that and just hustle.

Dyson quote:

Dyson Daniels on facing elite scorers: "It’s been good. Obviously challenging matchups, some great players. Matched up on Ja a few times, Zach LaVine, Luka Doncic. Going against the best of the best is what I want to do. I want to prove myself, that I can compete and hold my own"

1. Dyson
2. Giddey

Confirmed that they have gained the hop power of Kangaroos through their roots.

I dunno ... but every time Naji starts or enters the game in the first quarter ... "Our foes are always confused." Hmmm .... you may be on to something

I don't mind the bullish Naji. Sometimes the lineup they have out there is very stagnant minus Naji. Someone needs to drive it inside and he's not afraid.

Right. He's probably going to miss the layup, but there's good chance he gets fouled, and if not, JV is usually there to clean up the miss for us.

Took a little deeper dive into Dyson today .... Is it just me or does his game resemble what we wanted from Lonzo?

There are plays were I am thinking the rookie just got beat and he somehow gets back in front without fouling. He has a special talent.
