They are getting annihilated in this series.

Adding Jrue proves to be not even close to enough for them to compete with the Nets.

They go into the offseason trying to make the pieces fit again next to Jrue/Giannis/Middleton. But they have no space and few tradeable assets.

And then if it doesn’t work again next year, the smoke starts again around Giannis.

And then in 2023 maybe they go last ditch effort and trade Jrue and Middleton and a 2029 to make one last gambit.

I hate to cheer for a small market team to fail and lose their superstar. But this is the first failure in a chain reaction that leads to us having better assets.

And I’m sure this thread won’t come back to haunt me at all.

That’ll be step 1. He’s toast.

They’ll hire someone like Vanterpool that players all seem to respect.

Maybe they get out the 2nd round one year. But that is their ceiling.

Too soon. I mean, they lost the first two games of the series where they were on the road. It happens.

A lot of people counted the Clippers out when they lost the first two games of their series at home against the Mavs.

Yup, idk why people want Jrue and the Bucks to win it all this year. Give that team no hope. You win once and Giannis and crew will 100% stay

With some of these coaches being let go makes me wonder if we let go of Gentry one year too early

You couldn't keep Uncle Al. If you think these guys play lazy and soft now, what would another year of "do what you want as long as it's fast" have gotten them?

Or I guess would you get rid of SVG for Stotts if Vanterpool came with him or Bud?

I feel you, but we have to root for our own interests. I'm all for small market teams doing well because we are the definition of a small market team, but in the case of the Bucks, our future success depends on the Pelicans "winning" the Holiday trade. I don't want the Bucks to do bad because I hate them, but I still want them to suck when those picks come around.

Bud’s a great coach. Jrue spoke highly of him on the pod. Seems like he’s in a far different class than Uncle Al or even early Monty or even Jrue’s coaches in Philly by the way Jrue was talking about him.

We get Bud and do nothing else, we make the playoffs with ease. I don’t think people should sleep on Bud’s coaching abilities just because they got blasted in the Mickey Mouse bubble and now are losing to Brooklyn.

Have yall watched Brooklyn play? They play fricking ruthlessly beautiful basketball. It wouldn’t matter who was coaching the Bucks. They have no freaking shot in this series. Yeah Brooklyn has talent, but they play the right fricking way. I really wanted to hate them, but as somewhat of a basketball purist, I really appreciate the way they are able to play the game after having 2 years of choppy injury filled seasons. They traded good players for Harden, pay DJ 11 mil a year, and those 2 and Jeff Green aren’t even playing in this series and they are still dragging their nuts all over a very good Milwaukee team.

As much as we can laugh at how stuck the Lakers are currently with the lack of picks and salary numbers, the Bucks are gonna be more stuck than them in a year or 2. They will be paying Giannis Middleton Lopez and Jrue a combined 127m in 2022-23. If they fail to make it to the ECF in the next 2 years then Giannis probably wants out because an over 30 core with no bench isn’t winning a title

I won’t root against the Bucks for that reason. ESP against the Nets. Harden and Kyrie can eat a d!ck. Im not hoping they win a ship but maybe get close the next couple years. I’m just want that very last pick we got from them to be worth something and I’m good with the trade.

Now the Lakers, I want that entire mofo to burn to the ground, the sooner the better.

If they are swept yes.

But who’s available that’s better?
Stotts? Debatable.

Cassell?

Clifford?

Ham?

Billups?

Duncan?

Penny?

Thing about budenhozer is that he doesn’t play his players a long time. I think last game, Giannis,
Middleton and Jrue only played like 36 minutes. While KD and Irving played over 40.

Be a Pelicans fan not a half arse Pelicans fan. If the Bucks crash and burn it probably means we can trade those picks for a superstar

Bryn Forbes has a player option after this year. Wonder if we can grab him away from them. 45% 3pt% on 4.9 shots per game.

He’s getting paid < 2.5 million this year.

We have vested interest in their failure. Regardless of any small markets camaraderie we're supposed to have, the draft picks we're getting are directly tied to their record. Wishing them success is rooting directly against the best interest of the Pelicans.
