If they lose Zion might as well get rid of the team. At that point I might support it

the sad fact is that this is now the state of the NBA. Contracts don't really mean shite and players are so ready to jump ship. Especially when they play for cities like New Orleans.

Before the firing, everyone involved in this story, from SVG, to David Griffin, to Zion's family ... every single one of them would have come out and said that The Athletic was straight-up lying, and that everything was hunky-dory with everyone.

That's why. Now, no one feels any pressure to pretend and is ready to say what they really think about each other.

I think what Zion (or his family) is doing in this article is pressuring Gayle to pay tax and/or pressuring the front office to re-sign Lonzo.

That's what the Redick stuff is about, IMO: keeping Lonzo.

Every incident in that piece has been public knowledge, other than Zion camp flat out saying this program is a joke. Starts all the way at the top with Benson & her football cronies trying to cross train. Griffin needs to be canned, too.

I'd really like to Griffin be gone but that just furthers the dysfunctional idea. He's like Ainge in that he's a good seller but a terrible buyer. He got lucky that the Cavs even won a championship under them with the misuse of resources. If we get rid of him we practically have no margin for error. With him I feel that we have a little margin for error.

The information you heard all year is repeated in the article in a much exaggerated tone. It clearly has agenda behind it.

Nah, you just buying into chicken shite. It's no different than the articles you hear about Booker and young in the last couple of season. There's some truth behind it but it's exaggerated.

The last part seems to change some of the facts to add drama. JJ requested the trade and sat at home with him family getting paid. This makes it sound as if he was mad at getting traded at all.

As far as Zion's family, they seem to be high maintenance. I get the feel his Mom and Stepdad are just too "entitled." Having said that, when they say that the organization is not treating Zion like the superstar he is, they may be on to something. Griffin seems to be going out of his way to exclude Zion in the decisions. He should be talking to him about the new coach as well as getting his input of the roster to some extent. Griffin keeps saying he will not be part of the decision making process. Maybe it is time for Gayle to show Griffin the door and get a more "current" GM.

Yup and the same with Luka, Lavine, CP3 “not opting in” after this year, Beal, Donavan Mitchell last year, and fill in the blank to every star player not in NY or LA markets. Total BS

So maybe they're not entitled and just want what's best for him, and this franchise sure as shite hasn't done that for him through 2 seasons.

Slippery slope. Say you get him in a room and he tells you wants a certain coach, and then you don't hire that coach, now you just made it worse than had you just made the call yourself.
