Source: Terrence Jones, former HOU, NOLA forward, is leaving China after getting thrown out of practice. The Qingdao Eagles are negotiation a deal to sign Polish veteran Maciej Lampe.

Between the way he left NOLA, him not playing in Milwaukee, not finding a roster spot in the NBA this year and now getting kicked out of China, there are a lot of red flags, but there's also no doubt he's way more effective than Diallo and could give some rest to AD/DC.

He was tearing it up for the Pelicans before Boogie came here. Jones requested to be traded like a POS, would have been a solid back up.

I remember the Magic Lamp. Shinn never could pronounce his name.

I agree there are red flags. But I don't remember the way he left NOLA being that bad. Sure, he asked to be released but that's kinda understandable because he was about to get little to no playing time. Is my memory faulty or did I miss something about how he left?

I'm not saying he burned bridges on his way out, but things have looked bad for him since that decision. If he signs with the Pels soon I'll start believing Demps told him he had a spot for him if he could find a way to get out of his China contract. Then not playing in Milwaukee is really the only flag and I could live with that.

I had no problem with him leaving nola. He was on a short deal and his minutes were about to go in the tank.

Who cares about red flags? He has talent and would be cheap af. Sign me up.

My countryman Lampe had a nice career in Europe.
He was 20 while in NO. Not NBA ready then. Maybe he was never ready

Jones played with Anthony Davis at Kentucky. He had some high scoring games in Houston. Inconsistent, but AD and Boogie would welcome the rest. I’m sure they have known Terrence for 6 years +. Really thought he could be a nice player. Worth a chance.

He had that one Game against the Cavs last year where he straight up owned Lebron and we won without AD. That was great.

If he didn’t take and miss so many 3’s he would have been a decent player off the bench last year. Was okay defensively and has the ability to be a scoring force if necessary especially if he can shoot better from deep. Would like to have him on the bench, but we don’t have a roster spot for him unless we dump one of our worthless bigs though.

We still have the injury exception but it sounds like Asik may be about to mess that up.

I think he's still mid-pump fake from his last game as a Pelican.

I suppose I could be wrong, but I remember him as a solid contributor.
